Hiii. It's been a while since we've done this, huh?

I just got to The Whitaker area for a planned pop-up protest and direct action.

Here with me from the @DailyEmerald is @menshawnie.

Still marching
At the Lane County Jail. These large black posts in front are new.
Lasers pointed towards the cameras
We are leaving now.
Leadership is saying these posts for a fence will not deter them
March is continuing
C-pros have made their presence known.
Blocking another intersection for a few minutes
Cars are blasting music while those inside laugh. Leadership is calling out their white privilege — and especially their hop hop music.
Back at the federal courthouse now. Things are wrapping up.
It looks like BIPOC Liberation Collective is taking over the mic.
It appears that another march is going to start
March #2 of the night
I'd estimate there are still 50 people here marching
Streets are being blocked all around us
A dumpster and mattress (not pictured) have been added.
The scent of spray paint is filling the air
The crowd just collectively waved to the UOPD officers ahead
Johnson Hall has gotten some new paint
Law enforcement has arrived. Cant tell if it is EPD or UOPD
The group has decided to start splitting up and go home.
@mgbelka and I split off to reconvene with the other members of the press.
We all got back together and @menshawnie and I are heading to our vehicles.

The ACLU of Oregon has released an alarming Call to Action regarding proposed accountability standards for cops within the state and how the process is being co-opted by law enforcement themselves.

Well I'm here at the corner of Garfield and 9th Place where houseless residents living in trailers were threatened early last night and told they would towed this morning.

Stop The Sweeps is here to aid.
I was here earlier this morning, too, when folks actually thought something was going to happen. Nothing did.

But now, at 9:45 a.m., EPD is present talking with one of the people here. Folks have been told they have until Monday before they'll be ticketed and forced to leave.
Wow. I've moved just a few blocks over to 8th and Grant where other RVs are being towed away.

Well, I'm back out and near the Dove Medical Center in Eugene where a "Night of Rage" is supposed to take place at 10 p.m.

Earlier today, people were seen gathered in the parking lot, on the roof, and they boarded up all the windows. ID: Flyer. Background image is people in bloc. Text is pride
Security is currently posted out front and there's a man upstairs in the OCCU building take photos.
The crowd of around 30 people, many in black bloc, has crossed the street and is now standing in front of the security guards on the sidewalk.

Well, I am back at the Federal Courthouse where several dozen people have gathered since I was last here.

There's a tent on the stairs leading up to the building and speeches from what I can see across the street.
We have a trio of bike cops.
