People seem to be getting worked up over the possibility that Donald Trump was (or wasn’t) in two different rooms five minutes apart. How long does it take to walk into another room? 20 seconds? And OMFG he posed for a photo op! This is not the controversy you’re looking for.
Remember when President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a wheelchair user but that entire fact was hidden from the American public? businessinsider.com.au/how-fdr-hid-hi…
This is EXACTLY how new civil works projects are begun, right? Really? Well it must be, because here’s ABC News documenting the process. abc.net.au/news/2020-08-2…
Staged PR photos are normal, and news outlets routinely run them as news. Maybe they shouldn’t. But they do. And this one of Trump is no different. OH BUT HE’S NOT REALLY WORKING! So? You reckon press photographers are allowed in the room when real work documents are open?
Seriously, if your coverage of the Trump presidency is digging into whether a folder was edited into a boring photo then maybe you’re focusing on the wrong thing.

Mon plan, holiday edition: Slow morning; 1300 lunch with a co-conspirator; shopping; train to Wentworth Falls; data wrangling. A slow day overall, in fact.
Further alleged plans may be found in the Weekly Wrap, along with some curious recommendations.
