Very concerning to see Russia’s Renova linked to a DC Council race. Renova funneled money to Trump via Cohen, and is now connected to a DC Council race for Ward 2, which includes Georgetown and downtown neighborhoods, & where the White House, Treasury, DOJ, & State are located.

Individuals who are affiliated with a Russian company that is under US sanctions and known for Russian influence peddling, gave money directly to the @BrookeforWard2 Council campaign in Washington, D.C.
A company on the U.S. sanctions list for “worldwide malign activity” should not be linked to a local race, especially not in our nation’s capital.
Putin understands all politics is local. Americans need to pay attention that a systematic organizing of the next generation of Russian political assets could be taking place at the local level, including in Washington, D.C.
The intelligence community and the FBI continue to warn how our elections are being targeted by Russia. This is not just happening on a national level. The @BrookeforWard2 campaign for Council in DC is an example of Russian money potentially being used to influence a local race.
Ward 2 in Washington, D.C. could have an ethical scandal on its hands far more sinister than anything its prior Councilmember was involved with.
DC Councilmember @tweetelissa stated in a @WSJ article that “I guess there are Russian hackers that can do anything, but I doubt they’re really concerned with the Ward 2 D.C. election.” She should think again. Follow the money.

Russia is interested in American politics at every level. It is therefore our duty to be vigilant and make sure our elections are protected at every level of the ballot.

Kudos to @Lauren_Wolfe for helping expose this issue in a D.C. Council race.

Steve Bannon has been using the White House as his personal political warfare machine to try to take down world leaders while propping up fascist dictators and building an army of brainwashed people who act cultish and have potential to be as threatening as Nazis calling for war.
A friend once told me he heard Bannon, in person, tell a group of people, while overseas, that Hitler should never have betrayed Stalin. He said they were the perfect partnership.

Do not underestimate Bannon’s work to help Putin and Trump steal power. He should be in prison.
Bannon tried to overthrow the government of China while on the payroll of a Chinese oligarch mobster. He freely ran an international and domestic operation to build an army of support for fascists and cause chaos, all of which benefits Putin, and that Trump promoted.

Scott Atlas, who advised Rudy Giuliani’s failed presidential campaign, is not a public health nor infectious disease expert but Trump’s loyal solider brought on to counter Dr. Fauci’s expertise and to push for “herd immunity,” which will kill more Americans and failed in Sweden.

.@SecPompeo met with Putin in May 2019, months after top White House officials knew that Putin put bounties on American soldiers. What did Pompeo and Putin discuss in Moscow if it wasn’t the bounties Pompeo now claims he was so “livid” about?

The AP reported that top White House officials were aware in early 2019 that Putin put bounties on the heads of U.S. soldiers. The chances of a former CIA Director/Secretary of State not knowing this when he met with Putin in May 2019? Zero.

Did Pomeo mention Putin’s bounties on American soldiers to Putin’s top American advisor Henry Kissinger (a longtime Paul Manafort associate and war criminal) when they met in September 2019 to have a “conversation”? He must have been “livid” then too, right?

On July 4, 2000, the late journalist Wayne Barrett published this chapter from his book, covering Rudy Giuliani’s family’s criminal history. Wonder if Rudy will someday be “sent up the river” to Sing Sing max security prison where his dad served time.

A month ago today, @VP wrote an op-Ed for the WSJ downplaying COVID-19 and falsely claiming the U.S. was “winning the fight” and blaming the media for “fear mongering.”

June 16:
2.1 million cases, 116K deaths
