House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn is bullish on his former protégé’s chances of flipping one of South Carolina’s Senate seats blue in November and ousting Lindsey Graham from Congress, he said Tuesday
While Clyburn reiterated that he believes Jaime Harrison is running a good Senate campaign, Clyburn posited that the race being so close also has to do with “the hypocrisy of Lindsey Graham."

"Too many people are sick and tired of this kind of stuff” politico.com/news/2020/10/0…
Clyburn pointed to the battle raging over #SOTUS nominee Amy Coney Barrett and Republicans’ pledge to push her through days before the election politico.com/news/2020/10/0…
As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Graham has become a prime target of the partisan vitriol, in particular because he said in 2018 that he would not consider a Supreme Court nominee during an election year politico.com/news/2020/10/0…

Top food, beverage and consumer goods companies promised a decade ago to end deforestation in their supply chains by 2020, but by last year it became clear that goal was unattainable politi.co/2SG99zn
Companies including Unilever, Nestlé and Procter & Gamble acknowledged they were behind schedule, while outside analysis confirmed much of the industry is also failing to reach these environmental goals politi.co/2SG99zn Image
The U.S. has no national strategy to combat climate change, shifting much of that responsibility to corporate America. Despite hundreds of pledges to eliminate deforestation, it has continued at alarming rates. politi.co/2SG99zn Image

President Donald Trump’s Covid-19 diagnosis, and subsequent hospitalization, has upended the remainder of the election, sidelining Trump from the campaign trail and creating significant uncertainty with under a month to go politi.co/2GqwAKI Image
Trump is (obviously) off the trail, and when he’ll return is anyone’s guess. In his absence, the campaign promised “Operation MAGA,” which includes VP Pence and the Trump children, with in-person events starting after Wednesday's veep debate politi.co/2GqwAKI
And while campaign manager Bill Stepien is working remotely after testing positive, deputy campaign manager Justin Clark will oversee campaign headquarters in Arlington, Va., though advisers stressed that Stepien would maintain control of the campaign politi.co/2GqwAKI

21 million mail-in ballots head out to every single active, registered voter in California today. The campaign crunch is expected earlier than ever this year as the likelihood of widespread early voting is forcing campaigns to rethink deploying resources politi.co/2GimYBP Image
Many California voters are expected to mark and mail ballots right away. So a big chunk of liberal voters will be off the table after this week, especially shrinking the window for Yes on Initiative pushes. politi.co/2GimYBP
And while past years have seen a post-Election Night "blue shift" of more Democratic votes, expect the opposite this year: Democrats going early, GOP voting in person politi.co/2GimYBP
