At some point, a narcissist’s whole shtick implodes. Their fragile, porcelain facade cracks in too many places. They lose control of the narrative. They double down on increasingly unbelievable things.

And then the monument topples and the pigeons finally scatter.

1/
There are always a few diehard hangers-on but they lose the crowd.

It has been so long with Trump - and his cult is so brainwashed by a propaganda machine bigger than him - I had more or less given up on his implosion ever coming.

2/
It feels like we’re finally there though.

His routine has run its course.

It has been too much for too long; and it has been too much all at once.

His debate tantrum was eye-opening to people usually tunneled in on watching only Trump with no one beside him as contrast.

2/
His COVID case fractured his many lies about coronavirus.

It isn’t going away. Even he isn’t well protected from it. And all of that is his own fault.

His facade of strength and competence and control has just sprung too many leaks.

3/
When Trump took office, I figured it would take two years.

His narcissism would fully play itself out in a boom-bust cycle.

His many enablers have insulated, rescued and propped him up though.

4/
It has just gotten to be too big a job.

All the Hannitys in the world can’t rehab the image of a guy gasping for air from the disease he said was a hoax.

5/
This is the death spiral of a narcissist.

Took forever to get here.

Now, we get to help it along by shining as bright a light as possible on his every fraud and failure - especially the recent ones.

6/
With narcissists, the bottom can just fall out all of the sudden.

And after all the times you thought it might but didn’t, it can leave you wondering “why this?” and “why now?”

The Eggman just falls off the wall.

And for a change, all the king’s men can’t fix it.

7/
A big part of a narcissist’s success is the illusion of infallibility.

Run with the message that Trump has fallen.

He fell to Biden in the debate. He fell to COVID. He is falling like a rock in the polls.

8/
I think Trump has finally entered the death spiral of a narcissist.

Help it along.

Amplify his failures and weaknesses.

Poor little Trumpty is teetering up on the wall.

Let’s push him off with both hands.

Starting a little late but I'm going to follow along as Kamala Harris debates the obsequious, vacuous bag of old Sunday school clothes known as Mike Pence.

Let's go.
Naturally, my laptop just crashed, so bear with me as do a two-thumbed riff.

Anywho, first couple questions have rolled by.

As is his nature, Mike Pence is delivering smarmy crap as greasy as gooseshit through a tin horn.

The guy is more oily than a bag of mackerel.
Senator Harris is hammering away at Pence and the guy just smiles a creepy smile and lies through his teeth.

The irony is that his lies, no matter how smoothly delivered, have almost no import in this race.

*HE* has almost no import in this race.

We had to let our boy, Nathan, go today.

Nate was a family dog. First adopted as a rescue to be my sister’s dog before she left home.

Nate was a dog of the highest order. A sweet, kind pup.

1/ ImageImage
Nate adored my son. And my son adored him.

Nate followed him around the house, kept him company, slept at the foot of his bed.

2/ ImageImage
When my son was still small enough to squeeze in next to me on the recliner and fall asleep, Nathan would too.

He was a kind, sweet dog.

Just a gentle, patient companion.

Wishing people who harm and injure others good health isn’t actually virtuous.
If there was a coyote killing schoolchildren in your neighborhood and it fell ill, you wouldn’t wish the coyote a speedy recovery.
If someone is responsible for 210,000 deaths, it’s okay to not invest energy in rooting for them.

After all, there are 210,000 families who could use that energy.

If your religion asks you to tend to the assailants so they can create more victims, reevaluate your religion.

People suggesting there is a massive conspiracy where Trump - an impulsive idiot - is ingeniously pulling off a long con and faking COVID while hundreds of people at the White House and Walter Read are all super secret accomplices...

Hello? Did you hear how that sounds?
Seriously, if you are so twisted by your feelings about Trump that you think an entire staff at Walter Read is playing along with a moron’s long scheme (to do... what exactly?) it might be worth taking a long walk in the fresh air today.

That’s QAnon-level irrational.
Trump’s admin leaks like a fucking sieve.

The guy did everything possible to get himself a case of COVID.

It’s a miracle he didn’t have it earlier.

It doesn’t take 286-dimensional chess to accept that an idiot played with fire and is now being treated for burns.

I’m somewhat obsessed with photography of late, so let’s have some fun with this one.

Digital pics embed information called “EXIF data”.

That data includes a timestamp and various other bits of info about the picture. It can be stripped out but there’s no reason to usually.

1/
The White House distributed pictures of Trump alleging he was working yesterday.

The pictures were taken in two different settings using a small set of props arranged to look as if they were two different scenes.

2/
The EXIF data shows the pics were taken ten minutes apart.

So, for real, Donald Trump had his staff expose themselves to his COVID to setup a staged scene for a posed pic...

...and then had them sweep up the props and do it again at another location.

The White House never tells the straight truth.

The hey always exaggerate in the direction they believe beneficial to Trump.

If they say he has *mild* symptoms, the one sure thing is that he does not, in fact, have mild symptoms.

1/
Based on the Trump’s White House Always Lies (TWHAL) principle, Trump either has *no symptoms* or he has *worse than mild* symptoms.

If it were the former - he had no symptoms - claiming he did wouldn’t be the helpful exaggeration.

They’d say he was negative altogether.

2/
If Trump were asymptomatic, they would try to get away with never disclosing he tested positive.

Therefore, since they did disclose it and also disclosed he had mild symptoms, according to the TWHAL principle, he has worse symptoms than we know.

Put money on it.
