THREAD: @commonwealthfnd (a USofCare Partner) put out a report by @rhettbuttle, @LivingADCLife & Angela Simaan examining the struggle of connecting our jobs to our health care coverage. 1/6

At the same time, @abiworld shares the top three reasons people file for bankruptcy include loss of a job and a medical problem (followed by divorce). 3/6 abi.org/feed-item/the-…
So if businesses find affording coverage for their employees is tough & people disproportionately declare bankruptcy because of job loss or medical problems, perhaps we need to have a discussion about another way, especially during a pandemic. 4/6 unitedstatesofcare.org/blog/covid-19-…
Our nearly 80 year old employer led health insurance system is at a crossroads. 5/6 unitedstatesofcare.org/covid-19/a-sys…
@USofCare wants to be a part of the solution. We are bringing together policy experts, employers, innovators and people experiencing our health care system to understand what currently works and what alternatives could look like. 6/6 END
