Doesn't feel like the best time with everything going on but going to be off work for a week as me and the other half are buying and moving into our first house
Going to try and switch off but will probably still be updating/ranting a bit on twitter (can't resist)
Thanks all!
My tremendous colleagues at @LivEchonews will be with you for all the information you need in the coming days, with announcements expected once again for our region
Appreciate the kind words about our coverage from many people, helps keep us going!

Hearing from some doctors and NHS staff who are deeply concerned about the current situation in hospitals but suggest they aren’t being allowed to speak out about it
Quite a bit of frustration as they think people should know about how serious the situation is
One tells me: ‘There is less focus on the disease this time, there is less understanding and support from the country - it seems like people have got bored of the virus’
They say that In Liverpool, both the numbers of patients testing positive for Coronavirus and hospital admissions are rising, with 6 wards on the Royal site now being used for patients with COVID-19. There is a similar situation on the Aintree site
The locating of thousands more misplaced test results have pushed Liverpool’s infection rate to over 400 per 100,000 - a staggering and really scary number for a city with some of the worst historic health issues that make fighting this virus so much harder
To anyone still trying to claim this virus isn’t real, listen to the doctors in the city who are already seeing covid wards fill up and are presenting for much worse - remember how many people here died in the spring and have a long, important word with yourself
If you refuse to do the right thing, you could easily pass this disease to someone with COPD or heart disease (we have unusually high levels of both here) and they will find it much harder to beat the virus
It's terrible to see local businesses taking decisions to close because of the new restrictions
The answer isn't to have no action at all, because the region's infection rates are dangerously out of control
The answer is for instant, proper funding support from government
Obviously the real answer is to have a fully operational, efficient test and trace system, but apparently after 7 months that was too much to ask for from this government
The Royal Liverpool Hospital's covid beds are two thirds full, ICU is 50% full - letting the virus run through our communities unchecked is simply not the answer here
I go on about this a bit but I’ll keep trying to raise awareness of the daily threats and abuse reporters get - there’s a man currently in prison for threats to kill me and it’s not ok for people to drop me an email with shit like this
So many in the industry going through this
Again this particular misanthrope seems deeply offended by regular, up-to-date information about the global pandemic that is sweeping the world and our communities
As @behindlocalnews showed recently, the abuse levelled at reporters right now is out of control
