The plot by racist militia groups in MI to kidnap the governor reveals the dangerous moment we are in. Commentators are clamoring for verbal denunciation of these groups. And they should be denounced, but both liberal & conservative white people fail to understand that ...
it really means nothing to denounce racial hate groups if you don’t undo the policies, practices & philosophies that fertilized their existence in the first place.
Denouncing violent racist militias is important but at times is seen as an anemic response by Black people, because many white people, in years gone by and currently, publicly denounced racist militias but privately supported their racist political agenda.
What is needed is for politicians to stop promoting racially disparate policies in every aspect that are violent and even deadly to Black, brown, and indigenous people, otherwise words of denouncement are hollow.

Daniel 4:

... O king, also refers to you. It means that the High God has sentenced my master the king: You will be driven away from human company and live with the wild animals. You will graze on grass like an ox. You will be soaked in heaven’s dew.
This will go on for seven seasons, and you will learn that the High God rules over human kingdoms and that he arranges all kingdom affairs.
26 “The part about the tree stump and roots being left means that your kingdom will still be there for you after you learn that it is heaven that runs things.

I’m glad the truth about Trump’s taxes & corrupt business dealings is coming out, but it’s so sad to hear politicians & pundits say “this will do it.”
You mean to tell me, after all Trump’s done — all the virus deaths, all the racism, all the xenophobia, all the lies — his taxes is the thing that will finally bring him down? Sad sad sad ...
It’s sad to see some politicians going all in on this, and then they stop talking about immigrants in detention camps, the pain of native Americans, the oppression of poor people. It’s just sad!

The so-called “religious right” spent October 2016 telling Christians to hold their noses & vote for Trump—despite hearing him confess to sexual assault on Hollywood Access tapes—because he would nominate “pro-life judges.”
This is Trump’s attempt to deliver. But a Supreme Court Justice who would reverse every legal decision Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg sought to defend is not “pro-life.”
In her commitment to biblical justice, Ginsburg sought to protect & defend life when she advocated for women’s rights, voting rights, immigrants’ rights, environmental protections, & constraints on corporate greed. A just society where all life can flourish was her constant goal.

This is a damnable decision. Police used a battering ram and broke the door off its hinges as they entered Breonna Taylor’s apartment, shooting her at least five times. Anything less than indictments for the full extent of the officers’ actions cannot stand.
Yes, they endangered the neighbors. But Breonna Taylor got a casket, and not a single officer is charged in her death or will be tried in state criminal court for it. She cannot be erased from this story.
Just because the attorney general is Black does not mean he gets a pass on criticism. He, too, is an enabler of racism for not allowing these officers to be tried in Breonna Taylor’s death.

How do you mourn the loss of a great champion for justice like Ruth Bader Ginsburg? You mourn deeply & you vow to continue her work with even greater resolve. Her death must bring us to life.
No one who loved her work on voting rights, women’s rights, or corporate responsibility can stay home & not vote. We must renew our resolve to fight as she fought.
After the Supreme Court said in 1852 that a Black man has no rights a white man must respect, Frederick Douglass declared that, as monstrous as the decision was,
