🧵 I had an unusual dream right before waking. Someone was trying to test my banking law chops and posed the following hypothetical to me:

The person in my dream asked me to explain how to complete a transaction involving the deliver of one trillion dollars and the equivalent in potatoes.
So I responded in the way one would to this bat shit crazy request. I asked, "U.S. dollars"? And he said yes.

Warming up to the fact pattern, I then asked him where the nearest bank was. He replied that it was an hour and a half away and that we could not use it.
My reply? We would need to use a bank. Meanwhile, I said nothing about the potatoes.

Are there even $1 trillion in potatoes in the world?
Did we REALLY need a bank? Or even a local one. Maybe there was some kind of mirror trade through a commodities transaction?
