If you are a website designer you are as good as your tools are

Here're some tools I find the most impactful

// A THREAD // Image
Miro is a whiteboard with many relly awesome templates.

I use it for:

1. Filling a lean canvas with the client before we start to do anything
2. We have workflows there, so we know what steps to take when designing a web

Link: miro.com
InVision is whiteboard as well.

I use it for:

1. Creating mood boards
2. Drawing the wireframes
3. Creating the structure (mobile and desktop)

Link: invisionapp.com

PS. The purpose is similar to Miro so you can stick to whatever suits you better. I use both.
FontJoy is an AI-based site that pairs fonts for your website.

I use it for:

1. Choosing the fonts for websites
2. Finding other fonts (H2, text) for chosen H1.

It's free

Link: fontjoy.com
Coloors is a free color palette generator.

I use it for

1. Generating a palate once I have a mood board.
2. When I need to change some colors on a palette I already have

Link: coolors.co
Mobile moxie will help you with optimization for mobiles

I use it for:

1. Testing how the website appears on tablets and phones

Link: mobilemoxie.com/tools/mobile-p…
Feedbag is a super lightweight tool that you can use to get feedback.

I use it:

1. To get feedback from not so tech-savvy clients
2. If somebody asks me to review his site

Hope you'll find the tools helpful

If you know about some other tools that should be here

Ten months ago, I've started learning about making websites.

Today, I work full-time as a freelance web designer.

I've learned a ton and want to share the knowledge.

So you can start making beautiful landing pages and make an easy $1000 per month.

// A THREAD // Image
The internet is full of terrible landing pages.

Owners of those lose hundreds of $.

Every. Single. Minute.

Solution?

Someone who will offer them a better landing page for a fraction of what it will save them (often in the first month).

That someone maybe you. Image
What will you learn?

- How to create a working landing page from scratch
- Design basics
- How to do outreach and communicate with clients

We will use Elementor+ (drag and drop editor) so no coding skills are needed!

It's a Game of Numbers

You don't have to be

- most creative
- most original
- super skilled
- lucky

to make a $2000/month online

You just need to understand the power of math.

// A THREAD //
Say, you start making websites (like me).

It takes you one month to learn the basics and get first reference from a friend who you made websites for free.

Then you start to outreach.

You target cleaning companies and propose a website for $600 ( very cheap)
You are terrible at closing and people don't trust you as you are new

Fortunately, there is still some math to do...

You start to outreach to 15 clients a day first thing in the morning (2 hours)

That's 450 clients/month

Let's say just 10% of them are interested

3 tools that will make you a better copywriter.

Actually much better.

Fast.

The Hemingway App

Mr. Hemingway said:
“Imagine that you take every word from a place where a word costs you $1”

Hemingway app will help you to get rid of useless fluff.

I use it for the first round of editing and couldn't recommend it more.

2. Grammarly

Make sure there are no typos in your copy.

Grammarly is a super user-friendly way how to do that.

There is also a chrome extension that allows you to review your texts (tweets included) as you write them.

If you create you need photos.

We all love beautiful photos.

Here are the best free stock photo resources I know about.

Let's make the internet beautiful!

// A THREAD //
Classic photobanks (no need to give credit).

pexels.com

unsplash.com

pixabay.com

I usually go to those three first and find what I need.

... and make easy $500/month even as a total newbie.

I did it and you also can.

Here's how.

// A THREAD //
You don’t know how to make logos and that’s completely fine.

I will show you two ways how to get the logo:

1st - Doing it yourself

2nd - Outsource it and sell it with a margin

Then I will show you how to get a client.

Ready?
1) How to create the logo yourself?

Use online, free tool: logomaker.thehoth.com

It’s SUPER SIMPLE and you would be amazed with the results.

Here is an example of logo that took me like 5 minutes to create:

🏀Basketball Lessons🏀

I've just come from a Friday basketball game and realized that many basketball maxims apply to normal life as well.

Enjoy.

1. Believe in Action You're About to Take

Whether it's shot, break, or defending your opponent:

If you don't believe in the success of that action you will unconsciously behave in a way that leads to failure.

Believe in the success of whatever you are about to do.
2. Use Encouraging Words More

You don't see into other people's minds.

And you never know.

The encouraging word costs you nothing and it may give your teammate the spark of support he craves.

Avoid platitudes and genuinly support your bros.
