My @townhallcom column this week will be very special. I will publish and discuss a never-before-published letter by a US soldier writing to his family about the Dachau concentration camp. It is a vivid 10-page letter that teaches us about Nazi atrocities & locals' knowledge.
The Nazis knew the Americans were coming. The US soldier documents the Nazis attempting to kill and cremate everybody at the Dachau concentration camp before the Americans arrived.
Writing to his family about the gas chambers at Dachau, which could hold 250 Jews at one time, the US soldier reveals —
“The gruesome part of was how they killed those people. Either by torture by the firing squad, mutilation with starved bloodhounds of which each camp had about 50 or 60, and by mass gas poisoning …” wrote US soldier Leon Morin on July 9, 1945 to his family, describing Dachau.
Never-before-published letter from US soldier reveals how evidence from the Dachau concentration camp would travel to the German town nearby. “I wonder what the civilians in town think of that place, I’m sure that they must have known what was going inside that camp.”

And many others, some of whom remain unidentified.
They’re learning stupid ideas from BLM. I understand their frustration over overtly disparate treatment under the law, and I understand they didn’t loot or burn down businesses, but even a street fire is going in the wrong direction.
🚨 The purpose of the proposed legislation is “to hold online platforms accountable both when they unlawfully censor speech and when they knowingly facilitate criminal activity online.”
🚨 “The proposal makes clear that, when interactive computer services willfully distribute illegal material or moderate content in bad faith, Section 230 should not shield them from the consequences of their actions.”
