Voting machines BARELY delivered in time for primary, which was delayed due to COVID-19.
The GA Sec of State's office has a piss-poor record: their data center destroyed two hard drives with 2016 records WHILE THE ELECTION WAS BEING CHALLENGED IN COURT. apnews.com/article/877ee1…
07 OCTOBER 2020:
"a federal judge was still considering a request by voting integrity activists to sideline the new touchscreen voting machines in favor of hand-marked paper ballots for the November general election."
I understand the desire to vote early on an electronic voting machine so that your vote is tallied on election night.
In states that historically vote by mail, if you cast your paper ballot early it will be tallied on election night.
And the GA elections board is not friendly. Last month, they ruled that "votes marked as check marks or X’s outside ovals won’t necessarily be recorded." TO HELL WITH VOTER INTENT.
On one hand, kudos to these Georgians who are so committed to voting that they showed up on the first day of early voting. Shame on Georgia's leadership for making them wait 12 hours. Shades of VA on its first day of early voting.
Praying that the voting machines work.
Dear voters (of all states)> ASK FOR PAPER WHEN THE MACHINES GLITCH.
THIS IS WRONG:
"Poll workers and tech support staff held up lines to fix the check-in tablets rather than issue emergency paper ballots, which are required to be available at every voting location." @ajc
O.M.G.
"Poll workers corrected the problem by rebooting the arena’s 60 voter check-in tablets and reimporting voter information, Fulton County Elections Director Richard Barron said."
ONE good ruling from Judge Totenberg's decision to let the state go forward with its questionable voting system:
"She directed election officials to find a way to review ballot images to ensure that voting scanner software isn’t overlooking votes." ajc.com/politics/georg…
It's a shame she couldn't do the same for Georgia's discriminatory process for counting absentee ballots marked with check marks or x's rather than filled-in-ovals (above in thread).
Talk about last-minute idiocy.
Friday, the US Election Assistance Commission approved Georgia's petition to update voting machine software before balloting began today. Georgia's SOS had directed counties to do the upgrade last week. Not on website eac.gov/news
In 2020, GOP has set up FAKE, ILLEGAL DROP BOXES in CA.
In 2018, GOP candidate door-knocked and tossed ballots in NC.
In 2012, GOP door-knocked in King County, WA, offering to deliver ballots.
GOP: Party of Corruption.
The CA GOP has gone so far as to label their FAKE AND ILLEGAL drop boxes as “Official ballot drop-off box.”
So, yeah, President Trump. There may be problems with mail in ballots BECAUSE YOUR PARTY COULD BE STEALING THEM.
Ballot envelopes have the name of the voter on the outside. If a voter has declared a party, that information is part of their voter registration record.

Trump has thumbed his nose at political mores by holding multiple campaign events at the White House.
Looking (in vain) for public condemnation from evangelical leaders, "family values" Republicans of Trump's f-bomb live on Limbaugh's radio show Friday.
Ditto, FCC investigation.
The @FCC defines "indecent speech as material that, in context, depicts or describes sexual or excretory organs or activities in terms patently offensive" based on community standards.
This is a lie by omission.
It is further evidence that Barrett, 48, should not be rushed through a kangaroo GOP Senate to be given a LIFETIME appointment to the SCOTUS.
She would be the 3rd youngest SCOTUS member.
