The colossal scale of Mark Kennedy's intrusion on Kate Wilson's life was typical of the #SpyCops who deceived women into relationships. They integrated into families & are there forever in the photos of family occasions. This is Kennedy with Kate at her nan's 90th.
The phenomenal level of spying by the #SpyCops of Britain's political secret police would be comical if it weren't so intrusive. In 2009 Mark Kennedy secretly recorded plans for a climate protest & the activists' biscuit preferences were transcribed & noted.
One of Mark Ellison QC's reviews of #SpyCops looked at a random officer & found they'd reported on 628 people who all had files.

The @ucpinquiry admits more than 1,000 groups were spied on 1968-2010 - but they refuse to publish the list.
There are so many documented abuses by #SpyCops, yet most of the facts are still unknown. The public deserve to know what was done in their name. Every officer should be named, everyone targeted should be allowed to see their full unredacted files.
Kate Wilson's gruelling decade of legal cases has done so much to lift the lid on the #SpyCops scandal. Follow @out_of_lives for updates from today's hearing at the Investigatory Powers Tribunal.

Welcome to our new followers in the wake of the #SpyCops Bill. If you're new to the #SpyCops scandal, here's a thread of some key details about Britain's political secret police.
#SpyCops have spied on more than 1,000 groups since the Met's Special Demonstration Squad was founded in 1968. The public inquiry @ucpinquiry refuses to release the list of groups. Here's a partial list that @undercovernet managed to work out

#SpyCops often took active roles in organisations, steering policy & berating people for not being more 'hardcore'. They spied on numerous open democratic organisations from trade unions to hedgehog rescue groups. Targets were overwhelmingly from the centre & left of politics

The Grenfell inquiry is not the first inquiry into state wrongdoing that has had vital evidence inexplicably destroyed. It's so common that you could see it as something akin to standard practice.
Earlier this year an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct found #SpyCops had destroyed files despite explicit orders to preserve all documents for the forthcoming @ucpinquiry public inquiry.

Sarah Green, IOPC regional director, said “it is extremely unfortunate that a number of former police managers have refused to engage with this investigation”. The Met continue to be custodians of evidence that incriminates their own #SpyCops.
