A new study finds that public school districts with stronger teachers unions are significantly less likely to reopen in person.

This is now the 2nd evaluation finding this result.

This new study also finds that private school competition increases the likelihood that public schools reopen in person.

Incentives matter. Public schools are more likely to cater to the needs of families when they have other options.
