What a lot of people appear to be missing in the ‘circuit break’ debate, some deliberately, others because they don’t realise it and others because they have a ‘single issue’ concern, is that @UKLabour are arguing for a comprehensive, protective support package to support it
It isn’t a ‘circuit break’ without support - that would be madness
I have some political differences with @MetroMayorSteve but this is local leadership - attempting to plug gaps left by government package for his area as it moves into Tier 3 restrictions
For a circuit break to work and be successful we need this support from central government
And here he sets out the reality of the situation re: Tier 3 restrictions:
“We have to abide by them – just as we did back in March
“We have no choice but to
“The alternative is to see our region overrun with sickness and death – and that is no choice at all”

As I’m on a bit of a rant night tonight
@UKLabour has always been a party that supported women and sex based rights
It always should be
Our values and history screams this
It really isn’t that difficult to understand
There will always be people who want to turn this into a left/right or young/old war - ignore them
History isn’t and won’t be on their side
For me it goes way back and the ‘women’s right to choose’
It is about women having agency
It is about women being equal
Not told what that have to or should accept
Women are at the heart of our movement and always should be
As a man I learned that at an early age

The bloke with ten pocket jeans is in the pub and he is wearing THE JEANS
I really hope the bacon isn’t still in his pocket
He has a LOT of bulges 😳😳
His mate has arrived and he is PROUDLY showing him his torch
It is quite a big torch and apparently doesn’t fit in the TORCH POCKET but it does fit in the side leg pocket
I have never seen two people so absorbed in a torch before
It turns on
It turns off
It can flash
And it fits in his side pocket
It is a torch

I want to talk about being homeless - I promise not to get too heavy, but people ask questions and the most common question how does it happen
There isn't one easy answer and there isn't an easy way out once you are homeless
Everyone who has been homeless will have their own experience will disagree with some of this and that is fine, homeless people, like other people in life don't fit into one box, but they often sleep in them
For me the worst bit was the feeling of shame, that I was at fault, everytime I felt and knew that i was being judged, some of that judgment was in my case probably justified I think I probably learned to run away from problems
