PUBLIC COMMENT: Appreciate what was shown but disappointed that the presentation did not show how this will actually change what happened because of redlining. Struggling to see how this addresses segregation & will wealthy families be able to cherry pick which zone they want?

PUBLIC COMMENT: Appreciated the presentation & the work that has been done w/ this plan. Would love to hear families experiences with their system in Berkeley. Recognizing that the details of how it is implemented is critical. Stakeholder engagement will be key #BoardWatch

PUBLIC COMMENT: Echoing earlier comments about some of the faults with this process. Does not feel like they could explain this process to other families. In terms of language pathways, unclear if their home language would play into zone or into their residence? #BoardWatch

PUBLIC COMMENT: Saw an earlier proposed division of the city into Eastern and Western half for the Japanese language programs. Did not like this and takes away from diversity and inclusion #BoardWatch

PUBLIC COMMENT: Appreciate the work done. Wants to mention a narrow point about the equity tie breaker. Tie breakers for historically underprivileged neighborhoods and is concerned about this when it comes to gentrification or how neighborhoods can change #BoardWatch
