Our school board decided to ignore the red level emergency warning and open schools anyway. On top of that, reporting any COVID cases within the schools is sketchy at best.
I've heard that one factor for deciding whether or not to inform parents/other students/anyone who might want to know about exposure is if a mask was on and if it was over 15 minutes. I guess they'll just take a 9-year-old's word for how long the exposure was.
Because little kids are notoriously great at keeping track of time and understanding what 15 minutes is outside the context of "half a 'My Little Pony' episode."
"Hospitalizations and deaths are the numbers that health officials worry about the most." Yeah, our school board decided they need more flexibility when it comes to hospitalizations, aka the canary in the coal mine in absence of a national testing plan. cleveland.com/coronavirus/20…

If you want to help people vote early (or on Nov. 3, but early is better), here are some ideas on what you can bring over to the long lines and help ease the wait:
(Actually first order of business is to help people bring mail-in, early-voting ballots to the board of elections ASAP. Rules vary by state, but check in with friends + neighbors. Offer rides and anything else you can do that’s permissible by law.)
For the people voting in person before or on Nov. 3: help them make it all the way to the ballot box. Here are some suggestions on things that would pleasantly surprise and help those waiting in long lines:

Looking forward to learning more, as I wonder if something similar was happening with Amy Acton. There were armed men at her home and threats to her life. The woman appointed right after her stepped down before she even assumed her duties.
Thank god they didn't succeed (thank you, @FBI). "The court filing also alleges the conspirators twice conducted surveillance at Whitmer's vacation home and discussed kidnapping her to a remote location in Wisconsin to stand "trial" for treason prior to the Nov. 3 election."

So far Biden has had one zinger after another. "We didn't panic; he panicked." "He has no plan." "Get out of your bunker and golf course and save lives."
He's relaxed and confident.
The sniffing is back!
