i cannot stress this enough: regardless of how this election turns out, we cannot allow the republican party and the wider conservative movement to simply expunge the odor of donald j trump. we let them get away with it with bush. it cannot be allowed this time.
trumpism is conservatism. every failure trump has made - on domestic policy, foreign policy, the virus - should be referenced forever and ever as a failure of conservatism. he should be discussed the way they attack us with jimmy carter, with the extra that he's a pos.
don't let this pass by again. i am begging you. do not let them turn the page. do not let them say "i never really liked him" or (like they do with iraq) "everybody supported it." this is all on them. every moment of it. from jan 20, 2017 until the moment it ends and beyond.

Happy to see many more progressives on the “we’re not taking shit from the mainstream media” train. I’ve been waiting for you for a LONG time.
And no, begging them to do better won’t work. Working with them won’t work. Firm and forceful public shaming is the only path.
Nothing radicalized me on the mainstream press more than covering them for 13 years and repeatedly watching absolute bullshit from the fevered swamps of the right repeatedly get amplified at the commanding heights of the mainstream press. They are the worst. The worst.
she's probably right but also keep in mind she also prob thinks dems need/want to be scared. (if you forced me to commit i'd guess the lead is about 7)
it would be dumb to have a call with supporters that you also know is going to be reported in the press and say stuff like "yeah, we got this, its in the bag, he's toast." we won't hear the 100% truth about what they knew until after the election.
i would be terrible at that kind of theater. if i were leading a campaign and knew we were truly up 10 id walk into every room, virtual or not, like this:
and to be clear, the radical left would probably send me to a reeducation camp (at best)
i disagree with the real radical left (its not aoc and bernie, no matter what fox/gop says) on a lot of things, mostly national security type stuff, but considering our decades under wingnuttery, id prefer them
Republicans barely like to say good things about FDR (4 terms and ww2 make that hard) and yet CONSTANTLY we have to tell democrats to stop the deification of Reagan, Bush and Bush II. Stop.
“Hello, thank you for calling the Biden campaign, please hold.”
“And we’re gonna buy ads in Texas, and Georgia, and all the Carolinas, and maybe a blimp, we can definitely afford a blimp. Maybe two, no, three blimps, three blimps for Biden...”
“One thousand dollars for tv ads here, one thousand dollars for gotv here, one thousand dollars for web ads here...”
