Extremely useless observation but Betelgeuse is one of my favorite stars. I wrote a poem about all the stars in Orion as a kid. Plus it's fun to say
So come a little closer BG, you can sit with me at lunch
I just discovered Betelgeuse means "Orion's armpit" and I sure wish I had known that when I was writing that 4th grade poem because I'm just absolutely delighted
Here's a selfie I took a few years back at the Salton Sea, please note the constellation over my head
In case you were ever wondering what kinds of people hang out at Salton Sea at 2am on a Wednesday, that would be me and probably like 300 tweaker gun nuts (I kept hearing gunshots all over the place that night) but anyway, Betelgeuse rules

He is one of the many “population control” ecofash maniacs who have infiltrated the U.S. government. He and his networks have a long history with #TantonNetwork groups — who are proponents of “passive eugenics” to depopulate the planet — such as FAIR
They have entered the U.S. government specifically to enact a goal of soft or passive eugenics with depopulation as a goal. They focus on immigration because they think Latin Americans breed too much and have an inferior culture (just the one), and to bring around liberals.
I followed these groups and individuals for years as part of my border work, and tried to get people to understand it well before this administration. I knew at some point they’d really try to go for it.

This was influential ecofascist John Tanton’s core belief and why he rebranded from “population control” to immigration control to create FAIR, CIS, Numbers USA etc. who are now all within the Trump admin, mostly DHS. He was wrong and they’re wrong now. This is eugenics

That declaration was not by a group of scientists. It was a lie. It was a sham. It was disinformation.
CLAIMS.
This was the brainchild of an economic think tank headed by an “Austrian school” adherent and it has a history of climate change denial. Plus, the list is bullshit! Shame on you for normalizing this hideous disinformation during a pandemic @abc

Remember when Ted Cruz used Cambridge Analytica's services to get elected? And now that we know that their whole model was basically disinformation and dirt, it sort of puts this little tantrum into perspective

Also, the fact that he doesn't seem to be able to grasp the difference between censorship and moderation is very disturbing. It's an extremely basic difference that is very easy to understand.
