@JamesUnfettered Sums up how I feel as well.
I'm a atheist, most of the people I love most in the world believe in god. Very different ideas of god and religion, I dont nor couldn't agree with all of them.
I cant make my brain accept something, I think not to be true, (believe me I tried).
@JamesUnfettered My feminist ideas and principles are in stark contrast with gender activism. I believe sex to be immutable and gender socially constructed and fundamentally part of womens oppression. I couldn't possibly identify with that.
@JamesUnfettered TIM's identifying with oppressive female stereotypes is problematic. Individually people have to live their own lives to feel well. Yet also on a wider perspective we have members of the oppressor group, claiming & performing the very stereotypical behaviours that oppress women
@JamesUnfettered I dont know whether this is a male mental health issue, a male power power play, a genuine gender exploration, or about sexuality. What I do believe whole heartedly is it's not womens role to validate it, nor be "kind".
@JamesUnfettered Sexist gender roles do not empower women, they reinforce patriarchy.
As human beings we have a responsibility to be decent human beings.
I try not to hate people but I do hate and will challenge hateful ideologies.
