Burnout is a response to overwhelming stress. It’s emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion - it’s no joke, and can sideline you for far too long.

Here’s a weekend thread to help you catch it early 1/
Getting cynical, pessimistic, or finding yourself more irritable? The first signs are usually mood related.

If you’re a boss, look for it. It’s not always that your employees “have poor morale” Sometimes...they’re overwhelmed. 2/
Other signs are often around anxiety & productivity.

You’re starting to tank & you feel it. You’re not meeting deadlines you used to. You feel stressed out, anxious & have a hard time concentrating. Your body is looking for breaks, you’re tired, and trying to push through. 3/
There are other symptoms, but these are common red flags. If this is you...use the weekend to make some choices and changes for next week.

You are not tougher than your biology - it is not about “grinding it out” - this will shut you down if left unchecked. 4/
And FWIW, if you are struggling, you’re not alone. I’ve never had more requests for burnout-related work in my life.

Many are WFH...but with more stress, and less outlets that used to bring joy & relief. For employees or yourself - start today...we still have a road ahead.
