#angryteacher Thread
3 yrs ago I lost my mind at a Town Hall about teacher pensions.
I cried. I yelled. And was terrified I would get in trouble for my outburst.
That one moment launched me into the forefront of fighting for KY Public Employee Pensions.

I met so many fierce warriors over the weeks and months to follow. All Kentucky women.
Each of them taught me so much.
We launched an all out assault on those legislators that wanted to destroy us and everything we worked for.

In the 3 yrs since that video we:
defeated one pension bill (SB1)
Stopped a special called session by the former governor
Elected @GovAndyBeshear and our sister @JColemanKY
But most importantly we showed how powerful ordinary citizens can be when we speak truth to power 3/5
The fight for working people, our families, and our communities continues.
The lesson I take with me from all of this :
It won’t be an easy fight. The fight never ends.
People will attack you in ways you could never imagine.

The fight is worth all the pain.
Ordinary citizens can create real change.
Kentucky is worth fighting for and I will fight for her until there is no breath left in my body.
