On low case numbers testing positive yesterday (316), FM says a number of tests were diverted from Glasgow to other labs in UK network. Says she expects the true number to be included in today and tomorrow’s figures.

Scot gov will publish new “strategic approach” at the end of this week for discussion with MSPs next week. This will outline ‘tiers’ that can be applied nationally or locally.
FM says we’re heading towards a “very challenging period” in winter. Stresses that new measures will still aim to limit contact between households.
In response to @BBCIainMac , Nicola Sturgeon says it’s right for Welsh Govt to reinstate lockdown if they think it’s needed. Says all options are open to scotland but says we’ve had some stricter measures in place than wales for some time, so aren’t starting from the same place.

Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard says “squabbling” between Scottish and UK govts about testing is “unhelpful”. Calls on them to work together to ensure the testing system works effectively.
On a three tier system coming for scotland, Richard Leonard says Labour will “do whatever they can” to help get transmission down. But calls for better testing and “proper engagement” with industry and trade unions when measures are introduced.
Richard Leonard says “People are getting quite fatigued by the measures”. Says public needs to see the evidence and be more involved. Welcomes the new tiered system coming to parliament next week for MSPs to consider.
