1-Today, I’m heartbroken. We had applied to the appeals court to appeal my brother’s 8-year sentence. Despite our efforts, the appeals court in Iran is adamant about my brother’s sentence. All because he’s related to me. My innocent brother is in jail due to my activism abroad
2-The regime alleges that my brother, Alireza Alinejad, is in jail because of “campaigning against the regime”. The same regime that wanted to take its revenge from the Americans but ended up only being capable of shooting down a civilian airline filled with innocent Iranians.
3-The same regime that did not hesitate to kill more than 1500 protesters during November 2019’s #IranProtests, but has categorically refused to try any of the killers.
4-The same regime whose lying puppet with a sunny smile, Javad Zarif, tells foreigners: “If more than 70 people died in a pro-Soleimani stampede, that’s because these people loved Soleimani so much that they were ready to die for him”
5-The same regime that killed an innocent protester like Mostafa during 2009’s #IranProtests while imprisoning his mother Shahnaz for making too much noise about her poor son’s tragic fate
6-The same regime that has sentenced 20-year-old innocent Saba Kord-Afshari to 24 years in prison for her activism against forced hijab while also imprisoning her mother, Raheleh, for talking about her daughter’s plight openly.
7-The same regime that killed a young girl named Elnaz during the downing of the Ukrainian Airlines plane, but also stole her wedding ring during the autopsy.
8-The same regime that caused Hamed Esmailion to lose his beloved wife Parisa and beloved daughter Reera during the downing of the Ukrainian Airlines plane
9-The same regime that refuses to jail President Rouhani’s brother for embezzlement & Said Toosi for raping underage kids as they’re connected to the regime. But innocent activists like Mojgan Keshavarz, Yasaman Aryani, Atena Daemi and countless others are languishing in prison
10-The same regime that mercilessly killed Pouya Bakhtiyari during November 2019’s #IranProtests while also arresting 11 of his family members for going public. They didn’t even let them mourn for Pouya’s death
11-The same regime that made it forbidden to the families of 1500 people brutally killed during November 2019’s #IranProtests to mourn for their beloved ones, but forced Iranians to mourn for a murderer like Qasem Soleimani for 3 days.

1-#Islamic_Republic_is_not_my_choice, because it executes and assassinates its opponents. The Islamic Republic is only second to China in the number of executions and has the highest number of executions per capita.
2-#Islamic_Republic_is_not_my_choice. it's a regime taking people hostage. It sentences human rights campaigners & women's rights activists like Nasrin Sotoudeh, Narges Mohammadi, Saba Kord-Afshari, Raheleh Ahmadi, Yasaman Aryani,Monireh Arabshahi. To this list add my own brother
3-#Islamic_Republic_is_not_my_choice, as it tortures prisoners.Political prisoners like Maziar Ebrahimi, Saeed Malekpour, & many others were brutally tortured for months before they confessed.Iranian-Canadian journalist Zahra Kazemi & blogger Satar Beheshti were tortured to death

Lawyers representing my⁩ brother Alireza, say the 8-year prison sentence was a vendetta to punish me. They vow to appeal. Not one publication inside Iran published this complaint or any reference to the trial. Here are the main points Thread⬇️⬇️⬇️ kaleme.com/1399/04/28/klm…
1-The Islamic Republic of Iran's judiciary has abandoned any pretense of justice and has become a tool of oppression, the lawyers say. No evidence was presented of any political activity by Alireza.
@vakilroaya
2-The Islamic Republic of Iran tolerates female Hezbollah supporters who don't wear hijab but is conducting a war against Iranian women who oppose compulsory hijab. This is another level of hypocrisy.

1-Today, My innocent brother has been sentenced to 8 years. Islamic Republic of Iran’s authorities stormed into prison his cell & hurriedly took him to trial. They’re scared of the anger of a nation as the hashtag #StopExecutionslnlran went viral yesterday.
2-My brother Alireza's crimes are the following

a) loving his sister

b) refusing to disown me on State TV

c) refusing to co-operate with the Revolutionary Guards’ plot to lure me to Turkey and kidnap me to Iran
3) In my brother’s sentence, 2 years of his 8-year sentence is due to “insulting the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic @Khamenei_fa ”. But the reality is, my brother had said the following: “I will only disown my sister if Khamenei disowns his on TV”. Is this an insult?
