In days of 1st #USSPACECOM 30 yrs ago, we often spoke about warfighter support. Today, we are the warfighters. We have a task to perform traditional supporting functions AND supported warfighting mission.
Our dependency on #space capabilities creates vulnerabilities. We have to mitigate those vulnerabilities, through deterrence for sure, but also through our readiness to fight & win in space.
To put credible firepower behind developing #USSPACECOM, @SpaceForceDoD, we also must create the associated foundational warfighting structures. Today, we do exactly that by formally establishing @ussfspoc.
Along with the components from the other services @ArmySMDC, @USFLEETCYBERCOM, @MARFORCYBER, establishment of @ussfspoc adds powerful depth to our collective space combat capability.
We are the best in the world in #space. With the standup of @ussfspoc, we are even better aligned to deliver combat power more effectively.
