Spending the lunch hour today on the trail in central-west #Omaha with @LaraLeaTrump and @TrumpVictoryNE in #Ne02.

I’ll tweet a bit of what I hear.

#Nebraska GOP chairman Dan Welch: It's great to be here with @donjbacon and @laraleatrump. Need to educate Nebraska voters that this race is about the future of our country. If we do that, Nebraska will deliver five electoral votes to the president and put Bacon back in Congress.

Welch: He's going to beat @karaforcongress for the second time.

Bacon: 12 days till the election. A very decisive election for our country. Think about what we've done over the last four years. This district is pivotal. Two scenarios where this is the tie-breaking vote.

Bacon: This is a turnout election. Engage your friends and family. 50 seats in the House will determine who leads the House. (Pelosi) is holding us hostage. We should be helping out our stages and theaters and businesses.

Bacon: It's being held hostage to bail out cities and states that had problems before covid. Nebraska balances its budget. We shouldn't be bailing out them. (Nebraska is usually a net beneficiary in federal spending versus taxes paid from those states.)

Bacon is talking about improvements in the military and military readiness, energy policy, lowering emissions. Bacon: We are the largest energy producing nation in the world.

Bacon: Prior to march we had the strongest economy in the history of our country, based on median income increases. "The greatest country in the world does not let inequality go by." Nebraska has the best unemployment rate in the country. But we gotta acknowledge a tough problem.

Bacon: Covid set us back. We should be pulling together, beating this covid and getting our economy back in order. We have to get the economy back again.

Bacon is talking about ISIS and the Iranian leader the American military killed. Bacon: Those were the right decisions. He's saying his campaign has more union support than most Republican campaigns.

Bacon: She's for Medicare for all. It'll raise spending by 70 percent. 3.2 trillion a year. How are we going to make up that 70 percent? (Eastman has argued that Americans and businesses are already spending more than that on health care and getting less.)

Bacon is railing against parts of the Green New Deal, which Eastman has said she supports parts. Bacon is discussing tax increases on gas and other carbon outputs that he says will hurt lower income folks more. (Eastman has not said what of the Green New Deal she supports.)

Bacon: The left wing thinks they know better how to spend your money and run your business than you do. (He's making the argument that Pelosi needs to be replaced as speaker.) He wraps up with "Bacon America Great Again."

Here’s Lara Trump.

Lara Trump is criticizing the Democrats for settling on @JoeBiden. She is saying he doesn't know where he is.

Trump: They chose Joe Biden because they can control Joe Biden. (Making the Trojan horse argument that he doesn't have agency, which he has called malarkey.)

Trump: We will never be a socialist country. The Democrats have a real problem on their hands. They know like we know that Donald Trump has delivered for the American people. (She's talking about the economy, military, etc.)

Trump: ... ending endless wars. America doesn't need to be the policeman of the world. (She's talking about trade deals.) Who else do you think could've stood up to China? (She's now making mention of the Hunter Biden story. She's talking about Middle East peace progress.)

Trump is talking about the move of the U.S. embassy in Israel. Trump: "When you're a builder, you want to see results."

Trump is arguing Biden decided to stay home. She's mocking his events compared to a Trump rally. (The Biden folks have argued they're being responsible with regard to reducing the spread of coronavirus.)

Trump is arguing against universal vote by mail, which happens in 11 Nebraska counties.

Trump: What we're fighting for right now and what we're fighting against is to keep our American values in tact. We're fighting to keep America, America. Socialism is a terrifying thing. That's why this election is so important.

Trump: People fighting tyranny fly the American flag.

Trump is talking about how soon the Senate is going to confirm Amy Coney Barrett. Trump: This election is bigger than just here. (She's arguing a faith fight. God out of the pledge, God out of schools, etc.)

Trump: This week I've been in Arizona, Nevada and Nebraska. No family will work harder than our family.

Trump is asking people to talk to their neighbors and fellow churchgoers to vote for the president and red down the ticket. Trump: Nancy Pelosi has been in this game a long time. She's ready to go back to SF. "I heard she has a hair appointment."

Trump: The red tsunami is coming. It's hard to be a Trump supporter. Do you remember the incredible feeling on Election Day, watching the mainstream media melt down as they called state after state for Donald Trump? Turn to CNN or MSNBC. This will be the most epic meltdown.

Statement from @janekleeb of the @NebraskaDems:

"President Trump failed to protect our nation and Nebraskans are paying the price. Lara Trump's desperate partisan attacks can't erase the sad truth ... "

Kleeb: "with COVID-19 cases spiking in Nebraska, President Trump has no plan to contain the virus and there's no end in sight to this pandemic. If you're fed up with this chaotic, divisive leadership, use your voice and vote early for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the Democrats."

Trump: The polls are wrong. Don't believe anything you see or hear from the media.

(Four more years chant.) Trump: Or as the media says, maybe eight more years.
