After speaking with @fordnation's office, was told a written request is needed to initiate a 2 week wait period. They confirmed that an email IS considered a request, but we can try contacting his PR team. His office can leave note but that wont expedite the process.
My heart goes out to everyone who has been trying to get a hold of @fordnation and to those who don't have the energy to. When contacting @Ont_Ombudsman I was told they can't intervene with him since he is an elected official, but he has redtape like a celebrity.
It seems for #pwds the goal posts are constantly shifted away from us. "You need a written request for a call"
"I did"
"You need to wait 2 weeks"
"Sent them in July, last called Sept; it's now Oct. . ."
"I'll transfer you to check the email status . . . Try his PR team?"
Its an uphill battle, but I wanted to thank everyone over the last few months who have read/liked/rewteeted my efforts to contact @fordnation. That support has gotten me through some hard nights. 💖

Dear @fordnation , my name is Jessica F, and this will be my 3rd attempt to contact you. I understand that you are incredibly busy, and I apologize if my messages are a burden, but this matter is important not only to me but my community as well. #ODSPoverty
@fordnation On August 7th, when asked why the $100 Covid-19 relief was cancelled you cited those who were able to collect CERB as well as ODSP, saying they were up a couple hundred bucks and those who are healthy enough to work should get a job. #ODSPoverty
According to the @ODSPAction , only 8% at most of ODSP recipients were able to work at the end of 2019, meaning when you cited those who could work, you left out approx. 92%, including myself who physically cannot work without severe risks to my physical health. #ODSPoverty
@DisabledinCa@fordnation Being disabled in Canada means first being told you are overweight, and you should be happy your illness is making you thinner, while you are throwing up everything. The first doctor you see asks you, “How much pot would you say you smoke a day?”
when you do not drink, smoke, or do anything of that sort.
Being disabled in Canada means spending 3 years having a doctor telling you to "wait and see" while your loved ones watch you wither away physically and emotionally. Over time you see 3 psychiatrists for
a possible eating disorder but don't have a Gastric Emptying Study done until 2-3 years to see if your stomach is working. You then retake that test exactly a year later, because your last results were deemed inconclusive, but no one thought a second look would help at the time.
