A legitimate protest against police brutality was mismanaged by sub-literate celebrities. If you don’t define your victory before a protest you won’t know when you have victory. You said you don’t have a job but you burnt the economy that can get you the job.Let us rebuild Lagos.
You think we hate you? Noo. We love you more than you love yourself! But in your childish belligerency being egged on by people with a hidden agenda, you refused all suggestions. My Way or No Way lead to nowhere. As things are today,we may have to beg the police to come safe us.
This city will rise again but the consequence of your actions will linger for years, many have been added to the unemployment market already, many won’t get a job because of their digital footprints, after all who will employ a First Class graduate whose Twitter page was deployed
to in the services of fake news. Instead of this protest to lead to more jobs,it has caused job loss for many innocent families. Violence have spread across the country because of indiscretion. Many will look back in 10 years time and say What if i had acted differently? Painful

A LEADERLESS MOVEMENT first if it’s kind in the world was created by Nigerian Youth in Lagos to pursue a legitimate demand,it’s demands succeeded in the first 24 hours but we knew it will fail on the long run. We knew because history does not support what they tried to do. Asked
about who thought them, they said we should keep quiet. Where did you learn this?Is it the Black Civil Rights Movement in the US,the African National Congress in South Africa, the Palestine Liberation Organization or the Nigerian Youth Movement?Whoever thought you this failed you.
How do you create a movement without leaders? not even the contemporary protest movements, have you heard about the Orange Movement in Ukraine? what about the Yellow and the Red Shirts in Thailand? Not even the Hong Kong protesters espoused this theory, some of you even told us of
It is easy for our compatriots to blame Lagos for encouraging the protest. We are Yoruba people,we tolerate dissent, we encourage and allow alternative views and opinions to prosper. We are accommodating and unjealous of others. We didn’t make ourselves this way,we are who we are.
Those who are students’ of history will recognize the role of Lagos in the struggle for independence, our cities were the theatre of battles against oppressive military dictatorships,we are just who we are,not created to be subservient. In all these we also create rooms for people
creativity to thrive. We can’t kill decent no matter how attractive such options were but we have also in the process made ourselves the target of envious enemies and betrayed by allies, that is what our history have taught us, but we will not be other people, we will be us!
The last 48 hours have been the most painful in all my life. I have heard less than 5 hours of sleep. May God console all the families of the victims of this protest. How Lagos became a defenseless and center of war in the last 24 hours is a shock to many of us, the attack
on the infrastructure that make Lagos to be Lagos, the pride of Nigeria and home to all Nigerians seems to be a deliberate and well coordinated efforts of enemies.Lagos has long be a subject of envy by people who do not wish the SW well, such envy has been camouflaged in hush tones
how a national protest can be so localized in the destruction of properties and investments that provides thousands of employment to people,a transport systems that provide comfort in its uniqueness and more importantly, the disruption of an economy that is yet to recover from
