"Siddhi" means supernatural power or the ability to achieve a sense of the ultimate source of creation and existence and "Dhatri" means the giver.On this day Maa is worshipped as #Mahisasuramardini which means the Annihilator of the Buffalo Demon.
Maa Siddhidatri is sometimes also known as #AdiShakti,holds the chakra and gada in her right hand and the Shanka and lotus in her left hands. This form of the Mother Goddess is seated on the lotus.
According to the scriptures there are 8 types of Siddhis – Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakyamya, Inshitva, Vashitva.Lord Shiva was blessed by Siddhidatri by giving all the eight Siddhis.
