You can tell a comic lacks a dedicated fanbase when someone doesn't even BOTHER to scan your second volume up anywhere. Not that I'm a strictly a piracy guy(I own about 3000 graphic novel and trades) but when you find a comic online it's actually kind of shocking.
This is also published by Image so it's not like it's a no name publisher but I like having images to support my claims and I try to avoid digital for personal reading UNLESS it's the only option.
I forgot to put *can't in the first post.
It's changed since then but MOST of the Eisner winners were not targets for piracy for a long time, Laura Dean here has the best writer and best publication for teens and it's only now that PEOPLE bothered with it.
I have theories why but there is a weird thing with going graphic novel first where it just does not seem to exist in online discourse in comics past the first month or Einsers, to be fair what is there to talk about?
Honestly I just like hearing people EXCITED about books and sharing that passion even if I don't like the work so seeing these just fade FROM VIEW is kind of just sad to me. I love to see the passion for comics and it's very hard to see that from these books.

Well how does the penance stare actually work? Well here's what it could do in the original comic it was introduced in.
The penance stare is actually a VERY RECENT power compared to a lot of other things in the Marvel universe existing with the Danny Ketch version of Ghost Rider which was created in the 90's. ImageImage
Now here are the facts it doesn't care if you feel guilt at least with Danny, it burns you for SINS, the ways around it are, being blind, being on drugs, HAVING NO SOUL. It also cause USE TO FEEL ALL THE PAIN YOU CAUSED ANYONE. Image

One of the things I like to do is to find obscure little niche titles or events that don't get talked about today, or written up. Today were looking at a unique "crossover" that is very different today we are look at the comics of the Marvel Universe. Image
So Backstory even since the 60's in Fantastic 4 there has been an In universe comic company who makes comics based on their adventures. This has been used as a running gag throughout the decades at Marvel. Image
Now as funny a gag it is, the comics can't exactly be 100 percent what we read in the real world right? For one while it's uncommon now many heroes had secret identities and some where out right hated. What would they be actually like is at least a fun question. Image

Things I don’t like to consider canon for Spider-Man. Besides the Quesada duology.
*any comic that says he’s a Yankees fan
*anything to do with Chaper one
*blade issue one by Marc Guggenheim
*all the deaths in Spiderverse
*Bendis sybiote retcons
*that one power pack special.
The last one os good intentions but probably is for the best it’s never mentioned again.
I will talk about Slott one day big I need to save that up.

I will give you a list of major ones who I think are good frankly I never worry about the whole spin off aspect as long as they bring something NEW to the table besides gender but I will talk about that.
Power Girl is TECHNICALLY a spin off of Superman but she has her own name and style and often is not really part of his stories the Palmioti/Conner run is a good one for her.
Black Canary has VARIOUS solo runs and Mini series, I like her in the Green Arrow 90's stories where she becomes the co-star in all but name, and Birds of Prey was ACTUALLY mostly about her so I recommend that run specifically the Gail Simone era.

So all this talk about Prom in media made me THINK of something, at first I thought maybe a look at Proms in something but of course people know me and I often come back to Spider-man, and with that I said is there an actual Spider-man prom story? Image
Spider-man is often thought of the first TRUE teenage superehreo and with that thought, I had to think about stories that you see in teen media that Spider-man has told but here's the truth of it, Spider-man in the original comics was of course only in high school for 28 issues. Image
Now there have been stories about DANCES most notable is Spectacular Spider-man but prom has a weird place in America with how much emphases media puts on it, and it's NOT ANYWHERE IN THE ORIGINAL COMICS. Image

All right if any PERSON want to get Batman A death in the family digitally THEN I have to say DON'T DON'T DO IT! Image
They don't tell you this but the interactive features are NOT ON THE DIGITAL release, they are ONLY ONE THE BLU RAY VERSION! This is a case where I can't in good conscious even for convenience say Digital is at all a good idea. It gets worse. Image
The unique fucked up what if scenarios can't be viewed IN all versions, so even if you just want to see the weirdo alternate endings YOUR SHIT OUT OF LUCK TOO! Image
