atsumu has been helping large fansites take photos for a very long time. makes quick cash by selling them. it helps that he once called out to a male idol and managed to capture the

moment right as he turns around. the photo that captures the idol's look of surprise goes viral and business is great. he doesn't particular care about any of the subjects his lenses are directed at. business is business. he's edited so many that all distinctive features

begin to blur. no one really stands out. no group he loves more than another. ( a few songs he's more partial to after being in that many fan events. )

that is, until karasuno ent's newest boyband.

atsumu is there on a whim. a bet that if these boys last, these pre-debut and

early debut photos would be heavily sought after. it's an investment that could make him enough for uni he's saving towards.

but the boy with orange hair captivates him. rather than his original goal of snapping photos of all the members equally he can hear the rapid fire snaps

of the button under his finger as he captures moment after moment. the boy with the orange hair leaps during the bridge of their song. no one else is holding him up and yet he flies.

atsumu almost forgets to take a photo.

( when he looks through his photographs later, he'll

cluck his tongue at how he only managed to save the moment after he has begun to fall. next time, he'll take it at the apex or so he tells himself as he looks up their schedule. )

when they bow, thank the audience, and mention their names once more: miya atsumu repeats

hinata shouyou once. and knows he'll never forget it.

obviously there's a period of denial. he's not like the other fans who are dedicated. he's just in this for money at yet as he attends one fan event after another and turns down offers because the schedule clashes, atsumu

realizes that maybe he is a fan like the rest.

it still takes him a while before he sets up a fansite page. but when he does he's surprised by the flood of comments. there's one in particular: a user with an icon of a black crow with orange hair that thanks him for each one.

and for a single moment atsumu fantasizes about meet ups with other fans. like the fansite masters he knows before large concerts. he waves the thoughts away and thanks the user as always.

and so atsumu begins doing things he never thought he would. spend money to attend

international events for instance. invest in better equipment. and lining up for the meets rather than hanging back and video recording interactions. but it's the natural progression of events yacchan assures him. she's another fansite master he somehow managed to befriend.

a die hard ot4 stan who was so nervous about their first offline meet atsumu was almost sprayed in the face.

the thing is, it's hard not to. atsumu muses as he clicks purchase for the plane tickets after ensuring that yachi hitoka's arrival time is close to his. it's nice having

a friend.

ever since hinata looked up at him after signing his name on the album and said: "thank you for all the lovely photos you take of me!" and waited until atsumu introduced himself. and every time after that, hinata would address him by name.

"atsumu-san, that photograph from last week's event made me look far more handsome than i am!"
"atsumu-san, i think kageyama is jealous he doesn't have a devoted fan like you." ( this one was said as hinata waved him close, waited until atsumu half knelt, and whispered into his

ear like a secret meant for them. there was no wink to accompany it. but it was enough for atsumu's heart to threaten to leap out of his chest and cause him to die on the spot. )

is really all miya atsumu needs to justify this expense ( + concert tickets + hotel +

atsumu tries not to think about it. he has no money for snacks but osamu has a never ending stock. )

but then hinata shouyou scans the crowd on the walk to a venue, spots atsumu and smiles in a way that makes atsumu forget his own name.

and so what can atsumu do except chase?

anyway this is a slowburn where post international concert hinata works up the courage to exchange contact information with atsumu and they start off as friends. just a fansite master and their idol. 20k later its less idol and fan and more friends. throw in a plot where hinata

goes to his college campus? or maybe is a part time student there? not sure yet.

also cue the struggles of there's an idol type of like and the like /like/.
