Boris says that he "totally understands the issue of holiday hunger," whilst he and 321 of his Tory MPs voted to ensure that the coming holidays would be the toughest hundreds of thousands of children have ever had to endure.
2/7 He talks about the success of the £1000 uplift to Universal Credit being a far more effective measure to combat holiday hunger, yet his party has given no commitment to keep this additional £20 a week beyond next April.
3/7 "You are not going to see children going hungry as a result of Government inattention this Christmas" he says.
4/7 When The Children's Society report that there has been a "107% increase in children receiving emergency food this year," it's clear that children are going hungry now as a result of Government inattention - let alone at Christmas.
5/7 The villainous actions of this government are devoid of all common decency, and the public is beginning to wise up to it.
6/7 Demand that free school meals are extended to cover all school holidays, and demand that they are expanded to ensure that every child growing up in poverty in the UK does not have to face having to go to bed hungry.
