Meetings hurt productivity but are a necessary evil. Some PMs thrive on getting work done in them, devs feel it breaks their rhythm & are unnecessary, business folks believe that meetings = work. Sharing few 'hacks' that helped me manage my day better with flurry of meetings -
1. Reduce all meetings to 25 minutes. If the meeting agenda can't be cracked in 25, it won't be cracked in 60/90
2. Don't attend meetings without agenda! (Unless you want to go in there to play subway surfer) - It's a culture thing and build that culture

- Economic growth ~5% ⚡️ in last 5 years (3% global)
- 360 million internet users🌏 (added 100 million in last 4 years)
- 150 million will turn 15 in next 15 years
- ~10 million joining the mobile age every year🌱
- SE Asians most engaged mobile internet users in world
- Thailand users spent 5+ hours, rest around 4+ hours on mobile internet 📱

If you are too rigid on hiring PMs who’ve done same Work in past, Beware! She may get to delivery fast but doesn’t give any guarantee that she will fix the unknown product problems of growth, retention and user behaviour etc for your setup.
So, be open for PMs who have done different things and have tried well in solving problems which they were totally unexposed to in past. PMs job is such that even if you have done the same thing for years, every now and then you will face problems that you have never seen.
I spent around 15 hrs / day for most of May in a fancy hospital because of my father’s emergency neurosurgery. Thanks to the doctors & the staff of this hospital, my father lives. 🙏
But this made me realise how much our hospitals need to fix. My observations - (1/n)
They do really responsible, complicated and important work like neurosurgery which changes the world. Can’t thank them enough. 🙌
Now, on to things that are broken and how they need to change like rest of the world is changing (2/n)
1. Attendant/Family Anxiety - The communication during ICU / coma / recovery times is almost broken. For medical experts, it’s just one of the case but for family it’s really anxious time. All families need is clear communication channels and honest situation assessment. (3/n)
