THREAD: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today visited the Lagos Police Command HQ, Ikeja to meet with Police Officers in the Command including CP, DIG, AIG Zone 2 All Area Commanders, All DPOs across the State with some words of encouragement.
Governor @jidesanwoolu says the Reform that the Youths have clamored for during the protest is starting TODAY for the Officers in the Lagos State Police Command.
Request 5: The Police Stations that have been burnt down.
Governor @jidesanwoolu says the State has bigger plans for that .. and the Police Stations would be rebuilt to proper standards, to something that the Police officers would be proud of.
Request 7: The Upgrading of the Police Cottage Hospital.
Governor @jidesanwoolu says he would direct the Commissioner for Health to come and look at the hospital and determine what kind of improvements the hospital needs.

The Lagos State Waterways Authority (@TalktoLaswa) on Thursday 29th of October 2020 commences the annual exercise of clearing and removing water hyacinth across Jetties, terminals, and routes on the state inland waterways.
In a press statement signed by Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, General Manager @TalktoLaswa, Pegging and clearing of the Water Hyacinth have commenced simultaneously at three different locations; Ikorodu, Badore, Badagry, and shall be extended to other zones in due time.
The GM statement reads, "The Governor Mr. @jidesanwoolu has approved the clearing of all impediment to smooth navigation including the Water Hyacinth (a highly problematic invasive species) obstructing the free flow of traffic on the State inland waterways."
FLASH: The Lagos State Police command has arrested the fleeing SGT Eze Aiwansone, attached to the Special Prorection Unit (SPU) Base 16, Ikeja, for the shooting of his girlfriend, Joy Eze.
The incident occurred on 8th October, 2020, at Opebi Ikeja Lagos.
The suspect, who had been on the run, was arrested by his elder brother who is an inspector of police in Lagos State and handed over to the command.
The State CID Panti has taken over the case on the instruction of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, for further investigation.
FLASH: The Lagos State Government has approved the re-opening of schools for all classes in public and private schools across the State beginning from Monday, 2nd of November, 2020 while boarders in public schools are to resume on Sunday, 1st of the same month.
Disclosing this today, Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo said that this has been an unprecedented year with the recent happenings that have regrettably led to frequent closure of schools with attendant learning disruptions faced by all children.
“We pray and hope that there will be no more disruptions in the academic calendar. However, the State Government will always regard the safety of pupils/students, parents and all staff as a matter of priority.” She stressed.
