Full transparency: Tho I’ve known for years how dangerous and violent policing is, it did take me minute to fully resist impulses to engage police “when something happened.” I wrote about this for @MsMagazine this fall. It was a journey to let go of a criminalizing mindset.

I want to say this #onhere because I recognize some folx trepidation and skepticism of what a world without police or prisons would be. For many, I also know that knowing what resources exist that don’t criminalize is crucial for beginning to reimagine.
