“We came here first to listen to you and to get advise on the situation. The current situation in Calabar,” @LiyelImoke tells the Calabar Municipal traditional rulers.
“It will not make sense until we come to you, sit down and get advise. We never want to experience it again. I have had people say to me ‘Oh we thought Calabar is a good place,” @LiyelImoke on last weekend’s #looting in #calabar
“These young people are the ones who are going to lead us tomorrow... it was very pleasing to me when I learnt that you had sat with them and heard that grievance,” @LiyelImoke to Calabar Municipal traditional rulers council.

He appealed for youth engagement to be sustained.
“I have had faith in the youth. If they were 5,000 youths as we@estimate on the streets and we estimate the population of Calaabr to be 1 million. I think we should have at least 200,000 of the good ones that were not on the street,” says @LiyelImoke.
“We need to help our youths channel their agitation in a manner that will be better,” says @LiyelImoke.

He added: “I believe everyone is a bit unhappy,” adding that: “for this not to happen again, the leaders must take action.”
The tour has come to an end for today with the monarchs superintending over the two LGAs that were affected visited. Sources said the tour continues tomorrow.

We have come to the end of today’s session anchored by Jonathan Ugbal @NaijaJonathan
