I mean, disagree if you want but I have a long list of citations about how much the elite do not care about being smart. Smart is also for genetic losers. Smart women are an oxymoron.
They attack her credentials as an attack on the idea of credentialism, not because they care about smart. Trump attacks IQ etc not because he is insecure but because he genuinely believes smart is a genetic endowment
We make this mistake in centrist discourse of thinking that the right believes the rules they espouse. We are also deeply uncomfortable talking about physical attributes, even when they matter. But I’ve said all this before.
YOU care about being smart. It doesn’t mean they do.
