LEKKI: WHY I BELIEVE THE PROTESTERS!
''The Army's case has been blighted by too many contradictory and inconsistent versions.
At first, and for more than one week, it insisted it was not at the scene of the shooting, and that it did not fire any shots. Belatedly, it now agrees
that it was indeed at Lekki. And now, a retired Brigadier - General, who was in Abuja on the night of the shooting, almost a thousand miles away from the crime scene, has suddenly appeared to peddle hearsay, claiming that the Army only fired blanks!
To get at the truth of this
matter, it is important to focus on the Army's first version, ie, that it was not at Lekki at all. If all that the Army did was to arrive Lekki and fire blanks which did not kill any protester but merely dispersed them, why did the Army for more than a week attempt to contrive
the ALIBI that it was not at Lekki at all on the night? It is a cardinal phenomenon in criminal jurisprudence that ALIBIS are basically pleaded to take an alleged offender away from the crime scene. Lekki was a crime scene, and that's exactly the reason why the Army pleaded an
ALIBI, and the crime for which the Army shamelessly lied for more than one week is more probable to have been something more sinister than the firing of tepid blank shells.
The story of the protesters is simple, direct and straightforward: that cameras were removed, lights
switched off, and the Army then arrived and opened fire, killing some protesters, and carting away their bodies. The cardinal principle of evaluation of evidence is that if the evidence proffered by one side is inconsistent and contradictory, then the whole versions are to be
disbelieved in their entirety, as there is no basis at all to pick and choose which version to believe. That would then leave us only with the testimony of the side whose version is direct, consistent and non contradictory as more likely to be true - and that is the version of
the protesters.
That bodies have not been found would not disable their version; an Army that spirited away more than 350 bodies in Zaria, and more than 20 in Afaraukwu, can replicate the same feat with a mere 15 bodies at Lekki. That families have not come out at all to report
missing relatives is not a decisive factor. How many of us here have bothered to call all our relatives in Lagos to find out if they were at Lekki, on the night? Before 35 floating bodies were discovered floating on the Ezu River in Anambra State, how many families did report
missing members?''

''The Ant Group is set to break the record for an initial public offering with a $34 billion haul. That's just a billion dollars less than Nigeria's foreign reserve of about $35 billion. Observers say that with that deep pocket, the disruptive capacity of Ant Group globally can
only be imagined.Ant is one of China’s biggest banks, even without a single branch, and could pass as one of the world's biggest financial powerhouse. Ant’s I.P.O. valuation of $313 billion puts it in the same league as Mastercard ($319 billion) and JPMorgan Chase ($309 billion)
. Ant raised money privately in 2018 at a valuation of $150 billion......Keep searching for oil in the Benue Through and Sahara Desert instead of investing heavily in human capacity development and creating enabling environment to help your citizenry unleash their potential.

''Hours after the shooting
Hilary Clinton tweeted and implored the President and the Nigerian Army to stop killing protesters !!!
I wondered why the Nigerian army and the Presidential handlers didn't denounce her unequivocal accusations?
Why didn't they ?
Because they knew her
credentials an
ex first lady
an ex senator
an ex secretary of state
an ex Presidential candidate
Will not come out to make frivolous authoritative finger pointing accusations
They know that
She knows and the United States knows
the truth and
If need arises can provide
evidence by virtue of technology to buttress their accusations
So not taking her on is their own
"It's okay off the mic" response to her bold direct assertions

WHERE ARE THE BODIES?
''As usual, they are only struggling to deceive people. But their spins on the Lekki incident shamefully disregard direct eye - witness accounts, video evidence, and the well known and oft - repeated brutish tendencies of the Army in previous encounters.
Clearly, it is an orchestrated effort to mask impunity, dishonour the dead, and mock the searing pain of grieving families!
But these ignoble spins ignore glaring contradictions and inconsistencies in the Army position. The Army claims its men were not at Lekki, but Brigadier
- General Omata, in exonerating himself, said the Army was there, and even named the battalion the soldiers were deployed from, and also revealed the name of the officer that led them. Another version dubiously claims the Army only returned fire in self defence, and yet another

''During the real protest, protesters were so organized that they were making contribution to cater for humanitarian services...lots of needy and disadvantaged citizens got succor.
People were receiving medical attention free of charge. Food and water were provided hassle free.
You think such class will engage in mindless looting and arson?
Protesters ran a mini government with mind blowing innovative's.... Until government got jealous that this young people they said can't lead were almost catching a leopard with bare hands....just like they have been
jealous about how many churches are running with excellent touches and top notch management government can not dream of..
Baaaam, we saw video of thugs being distributed with marked SUVs guarded by men that looked like security operatives....

NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE WITH SARS
''On my way back to Port Harcourt sometime in February after my annual leave, I was accosted by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
You needed to see how scary this guys were with their AK47 and uncountable magazines which was enough
intimidation already.
I flagged my identity and the institution I work for but that wouldn't deter them.
They tagged the car I bought with my sweat a 'stolen vehicle' which is a cliche or mantra for them.
They entered my car and asked me to get to their office.

At their office,
I was asked to write down my monthly and annual income which I stated. one of them insisted he must go through my phone even without my permission. Brethren I had to give them my phone and this dude forced me to open my WhatsApp which I locked with my finger print and my text

Some of the reasons the youths are risking their lives to protest:👇
''*IFEOMA ABUGU, 20, a young lady who had just graduated and was in NYSC, was arrested in place of her fiancee at his residence in Lokogoma, Abuja. Ifeoma was sexually assaulted and later died in SARS custody
a day after she was arrested. Justice has not prevailed.
*GODGIFT FERGUSON EKERETE ,24 ,TONY ORUAMA ,21, HARRY ATARIA, 26, were arrested during a raid and then killed in detention that same day on 3 July 2008. They were falsely accused of being armed robbers and cultists.
The police officers responsible are still freely roaming.
*KOLADE JOHNSON, was killed on the 31st March 2019 by a SARS officer, for ‘looking like a fraudster’. He left his home to watch a Liverpool vs Tottenham Spurs match and never returned. The officer responsible still roams
