I liked Search for Spock more than Wrath of Khan.

Reaction to these tweets make me feel like I have to watch voyage home so I can complete this set of hot takes.

I saw it when it originally came out but I barely remember it. I’m a fan of Star Trek/Wars but I don’t get knee-deep like w DC/Marvel.

And in case u missed it , it’s not that I think Wrath of Khan was bad. It’s just that I felt it was *fine*.

It’s really weird cause movies I love from that era reallly stuck w me. I can recite tons of BTTF and others. But Trek just kind of flowed through me.

And of course for a 3-4 year period Batman 89 was my religion.

I think my biggest heresy is I am not a Kirk fan and to buy in to the original cast I think you have to like Kirk. And every one of these movies I’m like “Please, Kirk, calm down.” And of course, Kirk has zero chill.

On your suggestions I have been watching DS9, I’m not very far in but Sisko is weird. He’s thus far not as in command as Kirk/Picard. But again, I’m only 7 episodes in.

Btw, how did nobody in Starfleet call HR over the very horny Dr Bashir?
