Trump, in Michigan: "You didn't have any auto plants four years ago."
He is freezing but still making time for the usual tangents, telling stories about Pavrarotti being "a diva" and inserting the windmill riff into his closing argument:
"If you want to see a lot of dead birds, go to the bottom of the windmill."
Trump on Texas, where his supporters surrounding the Biden/Harris bus forced them to cancel an event:
"Did you see our people? They were protecting his bus yesterday."
Trump explains to the crowd he has to switch teleprompters, because one forces him to look into the wind/snow.
"I have to look this way so I can breathe...I've never had this! This is a hell of a day, you guys must love Trump, this place is packed."
I think this Trump remark to his supporters was about the cold weather at this rally, but it works in more or less any context:
"It's really a contest to see if we can all stand it. And we'll get through it. And we'll love it."
Trump, reading prompter line about refugees, stops and offers a joke off the cuff...
"One of the biggest issues for Michigan this election is the subject of, refugees — with this weather, they're not coming...it's freezing up here!
"Syria never looked so good!"
Trump, who'd gone about 45 min hardly mentioning the pandemic, promises vaccines are "coming in a matter of weeks ... It's gong to go very very quickly ... You'll see something that's going to be absolutely amazing."
Trump's closing argument on Biden: "He was always known as a dummy, and that was 25 years ago. And now he's a dummy and a half."
Vowing no more lockdowns, Trump seems to express regret on having gone along with restrictions but also acknowledges that the situation hasn't improved after eight months:
"The whole world has gone through a lot. And for what?"

Trump, self-annotating his scripted remarks again:
"No one has fought harder for the people of Iowa. That's true!"
Trump claims Biden's huge fundraising numbers, powered largely by online donors desperate to oust Trump, have come "by making deals," presenting it as if was a data point to support his unproven corruption allegations.
Trump predicts wins in MI and MN, and that "having people like [Rep. Ilhan] Omar really helps."
Then exaggeratedly mispronounces her name: "Eel-an Omar...she does not love our country too much."
Then he rails at @GovWhitmer: "Get your governor to open up your state and get your schools open!"
A loud "Lock her up!" chant erupts.
Trump: "Lock em all up!"
This comes after 14 people were arrested for plotting to kidnap the governor.
Trump now really leaning into culture war stuff, claiming Dem opposition to ACB, "cancel culture" around, Confederate statues, teaching American history, etc.
Rush Limbaugh begins this "radio rally" by playing Trump's walk-up music and then a tape of crowd noise of people chanting "we love you."
Rush to Trump: "You are one of the strongest, the most unwavering, the most determined, most loyal people I have ever met...it's just a breathtaking thing.
"I want people to get to know the Donald Trump I know."
Trump starts by saying he "jumped" on the invite to do this rally because Rush's audience is so large.
Then he falsely claims on COVID-19:
"We have a cure. More than just a therapeutic. We have a cure."
Blames "fake news" for mischaracterizing everything.
“I was expecting to see clarity. And I’m just very disappointed by the behavior, the lack of really poignant speaking to the issues,” said Don Hensley, 50, who develops food products. He voted for Trump in 2016 but is uncertain now if he will even vote.
Trump called the coronavirus “a hoax,” said Kathy Hoover, a 51-year-old retired teacher who supports Biden. “...he didn’t tell what actually was going on because he was afraid of a panic. He didn’t give the American people enough credit to handle whatever panic came along.”
