since it's election day, here's george carlin perfectly summing up what I think about it. just change "the public" for "asset-owning boomers", as they're the ones who actually call the shots
it's not talked about enough how asset-owning boomers, by virtue of their class interests, are responsible for everything horrible that has happened over the past decades. they gave you hillary, trump, biden, johnson. they are the social basis of reaction
never forget that the active working class overwhelmingly supported corbyn and bernie. it was asset-owning boomers who sank them. they want to see the world burn. it's a death-cult. a deranged, fascistic death-cult 
another crucial point here by carlin: "The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you."
