Judge Joe Hardy Jr. notes that he doesn't believe he's related to attorney Brian Hardy, representing Trump campaign / NV GOP.
Hardy (Trump campaign attorney) says that "Murphy's Law occurred" in delays in opening polls this morning in Clark County.
"The simple matter is is that there are polls that were not open at seven o'clock consistent with the statute. "
Hardy says only six polling sites in Clark County were open right at 7 p.m. - technical issues contributed to first vote being cast at Lawrence Clifford Jr. High at 10:50 a.m today
Hardy says one polling site had 1st vote cast after 7 p.m., but machines crashed shortly after and were down until around 9:30 a.m. Says they've received "credible" complaints about all 22 locations where they're asking for an extension
Now to Clark County general counsel Mary-Anne Miller, who says she provided parties w/ spreadsheet of when first ballots were cast. Notes that there some "technical problems" at first but most issues were resolved by 10 a.m.
Miller says it "seems extreme" to keep polling sites open for an extra hour, when initial backlog of people waiting to vote was essentially resolved by 10 a.m.
Judge Hardy wants to know if Clark County is actually opposed to motion. Miller agrees to description of "we are opposing but it's a very limited opposition."
Here's a partial list of when Clark County received first ballot from following poll sites -- only five submitted ballots after 8 a.m., though dozens took up 30 min+ to submit ballots today
John Devaney - attorney representing @nvdems -- says they're not opposed to motion as long as any order includes 6-8 sites w/ delays not included in Trump/NV GOP request to keep sites open until 8 p.m.
Clark County general counsel Mary Anne Miller requests that judge rule that only polling sites not open by 7:30 a.m. be allowed to stay open past normal closing time, but only until 7:30 p.m.
Judge Hardy says he's ready to rule in just a few minutes, steps down from bench. stay tuned!

I'll be live-tweeting this hearing on the lawsuit filed by NV GOP groups seeking a halt to Clark County's use of a signature verification machine. Scheduled to start at 2 p.m. PST
To recap, here's what the plaintiffs are requesting as part of the lawsuit (which was filed last night in federal court).
Our story on the complaint: thenevadaindependent.com/article/nv-rep…
Here is the @NVSOS reply to the complaint, filed earlier today:
NEW: Judge Joe Hardy Jr. rules that polling sites that were not open by in Clark County due to technical difficulties can remain open until 8 p.m. this evening.
HARDY: The right to vote is obviously extremely extremely important and if the courts going to err on the side of anything, as, as all parties candidly recognize here, best to err on the side of allowing the full fair opportunity for everyone to cast their votes.
IMPORTANT: Hardy says anyone in line at the listed locations by 8 p.m. can still cast a ballot
I'm following along with the state of Nevada's COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force meeting - starting off with public comment, there was some feedback, but it sounds like the Nye County Commission is going to draft a plan to re-open brothels in the county
An attorney for the Chicken Ranch brothel says brothels have remained closed with "no rational basis provided for the continued closure."
Says there are "plenty" of skin-on-skin industries also currently open, such as dentists
On a Trump campaign press call with former NV Sen. @DeanHeller, who says this is his first press call in a year and a half. Says he now spends 80% of his time outdoors, and woke up at 5 a.m. this morning to move irrigation water, feed cows, and checking squirrel traps
@DeanHeller Heller says that Biden met his family when he was sworn in as a U.S. Senator. Said the former VP flirted with his 80 year old mother & couldn't keep his hand off his pregnant daughter's stomach ("She found it unusual...but she was not offended")
Heller says he also knew Sen. Kamala Harris while in the Senate, and googled her before the call to see her accomplishments and didn't see much that impressed him. "I think that's pretty telling from someone who's going to become vice president."
Here's a link to @GovSisolak's 5 p.m. press conference, where he will provide an "update on Phase 2 of the Nevada United: Roadmap to Recovery Plan." I'll be live-tweeting his remarks & @MichelleRindels
is covering in person nvleg.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.ph…
Sisolak is joined by COVID-19 Response Director Caleb Cage & DHHS administrator Julie Peek, who is leading contact tracing efforts
Sisolak:
Recently we've experienced some trends that require additional evaluation and analysis. This includes an upward trend in the number of new daily cases in the last three weeks
