My generation was shaped by lot of myths about leaders we held in awe. Right from when we were in Form 3,we were told Dr.Nnamdi Azikiwe was the first and only Nigerian to score 6 Distinctions in WASCE. So every brilliant pupil in Form 5 always have the record of Azikiwe to beat.

We were also told that Chief Obafemi Awolowo was so intelligent that Russia has made payment for his brain after his death,so much that in 1983 just before the election,we ‘saw’ his image and that of his wife right inside the moon! The mystery of this event was how the entire SW

was engulfed by this news and it appeared in Tribune the second day. We read about the brilliance of Col.Odimegwu Ojukwu who has to correct his Sgt.Major on how to pronounce‘safety cap’ while training as a recruit in the army. We had role models,we grew up trying to be like them.

I don’t work for government and never held political office but my children don’t have another passport.There will be a law to regulate Social Media,if you like set fire on the Atlantic Ocean,but before you burn Nigeria and run to your country you will have to cross our barriers

A child that says his mother will not sleep will not also slumber, we have entered the same trouser. What the elders used to eat pap is kept under the leaf,there are millions of young people over there who are not part of your madness who are daily looking for raise themselves.

You live with your parents in countries where there are rules but want to burn Nigeria with fake news,it will not happen. If you think you are smarter than your father,go tell him. There will be consequences for deliberate falsehood and liars will go to jail.

A legitimate protest against police brutality was mismanaged by sub-literate celebrities. If you don’t define your victory before a protest you won’t know when you have victory. You said you don’t have a job but you burnt the economy that can get you the job.Let us rebuild Lagos.
