The only correct answer to the question of what went wrong for the Democrats is that the way the party raises money is incompatible with getting votes: they court wealthy donors who in exchange demand policies which hurt ordinary Americans. Ignore all answers besides this one.
It's not because of inadequate outreach to this or that demographic. It's not because of racism. It's not because of being too "woke". It's not because of the Electoral College or gerrymandering. It's because Democratic donors advance interests which hurt the Democratic base.
People simply are not going to support a party which does not advance their interests. If the Democratic Party were obtaining material benefits for people, they would dominate the US government. But that would mean taking things away from the donor class, so it's been a no-go.
Meanwhile the donor class is never going to support a party which acts against its interests. Getting enough votes and getting the support of wealthy elites are therefore mutually exclusive endeavors. You cannot have both. Dems WILL keep losing until they figure this out.
That validates my position, not yours. Democrats do not need the donor class to win elections, so they should dispense with them and turn against them. Becoming a people's party is the only way they're going to get sufficient public support.
The East Turkistan Islamic Movement is a murderous jihadist organization from Xinjiang. Xinjiang plays a crucial geostrategic role in China's Belt and Road Initiative, which threatens US unipolar domination. Declassifying them as a terrorist organization is about US imperialism.
Don't Fool Yourself: Your Biden Vote Was Not A "Vote Against Fascism"
The election is over. The lies that people on the true political left have been telling themselves in order to psych themselves out for a painful Biden vote must now be dispensed with. caitlinjohnstone.substack.com/p/dont-fool-yo…
Well the battle rages on, with Dems afraid Trump will remain in office by force (spoiler: he won't, he'll exit peacefully) and Republicans afraid Biden will enslave them to communism (spoiler: he won't, he'll enslave you to end-stage imperialist neoliberalism like everyone else).
Anxiety remains high, with mass media going out of its way to play up civil unrest fears as protests and counter-protests erupt across the country.

Bush dropped more bombs than Clinton.
Obama dropped more bombs than Bush.
Trump dropped more bombs than Obama.
This trend has much less to do with who's president than with the nature of global metastatic imperialism.
And it ain't changing with Biden.
"Waiting for the results of the US presidential election is like waiting to find out if you're going to get hit by the mugger with the bat or the mugger with the crow bar." caitlinjohnstone.substack.com/p/the-us-empir…
Dave Calhoun, CEO of top war profiteer company Boeing, said back in July that he'll be quite happy regardless of what happens on November third.
And of course he didn't take such a position. Why would he? Arms manufacturers have been pouring money into the campaigns of both candidates, and they both know that no matter who wins the presidential election they're going to reap highly profitable mountains of corpses.
FYI any violence arising from the US election or its aftermath will only benefit the powerful and be used to justify authoritarian agendas which serve the powerful.
There are plenty of arguments to be made for situations in which intelligent application of force by the citizenry could have good results. Killing each other over which oligarch crony will be the president is not one of those situations about which such arguments can be made.
