Brymo and his manager defrauded myself and my team in 2018. We were just group of University student excited to create a good student experience for students.
I reached out to Lanre Lawal in his capacity as BrymO manager to secure his artist.
He asked for 1m but we were able
to slash it to 500k + hotel, food, transport, instrument . Sound was going to 400k.
We had more than 50 volunteers who were enthusiastic about making this event work. We reached out to sponsors.
UBA OAU agreed to buy a particular some of tickets for students. A company gave
Us Bitcoin worth 80k or thereabouts.
Lanre Lawal kept telling us to pay 200k upfront, and because the team was working day and night to make it happen.
I and some people contributed the 200k as upfront.
However, two days to the event, a major test was fixed for the next day
that will follow the planned event, July 7, 2018, which threatened attendance to the concert.
The Sports Hall executive arranged a quick meeting with all stakeholders on campus to decide if to postpone the event to the following week.
A call was placed to Mr. Lanre Lawal who
agreed on a 7-day postponement. Less than three hours after the call, information circulated around campus about the postponement of the said test that was earlier fixed for July 7 had been moved to July 9, 2018.
The Sports Hall executives immediately placed a call toLanre Lawal
to negate the information earlier passed, and that the concert could still hold on the 6th of July, 2018.
Mr. Lanre Lawal told the Sports Hall executives that one of their team members had travelled to Port Harcourt upon announcement of the postponement and could not be recalled
We tried as much as possible to persuade them to find an alternative for the team member who travelled less than three hours after our call.
Mr. Lanre Lawal insisted that we stick to a postponement agreement and that the management of The Bail Entertainment Company will look at
their schedule to check the next available date.
We called and called for them to give us a new date but they couldn’t give us a new date. With the fact that our 200k is with them.
There was no written or unwritten agreement that the money cannot be refunded if service is not
rendered. We were just group of students excited to create a social event.
We begged and begged Lanre Lawal to refund us as we were just students but he refused.
I had to pay back the money from my personal pocket to people who contributed to the event. And we still have an
to pay to one Mr Nathaniel who was one of the sponsor.
All this back and forth was distressing for us and we decided to be quiet because it was affecting us mentally.
It was more than a 200k loss. We had paid for so many things.see tickets and T-shirts pictures
Lanre Lawal reached out to me last November on Instagram to ask for one of the numbers of the volunteer. I actually thought they were ready to pay back. Unfortunately, they were not.
Please, see our conversation below.
I sent him several messages before the team decided to take it to the EFCC, but unfortunately they couldn’t help because the money is really below their threshold.
Please, see the well detailed petition below, and the evidence of their receipt of the petition.
There have been lot of pleading and civil engagement from the team to Lanre Lawal and his team before coming on here.
Lanre Lawal, you collected 200,000 from University students without delivering the service.
Brymo is complicit as we have tried talking to him but he said we should speak with you.
Pay us our money! We’re done been the victims! And I will not be silent. See evidence of payment
We sent a mail October 2018 and he said he was waiting for us to do whatever we want to do.
We’ve outgrown the victim stage. Now pay up Mr.(s) Men!
In summary if you’re too lazy to read the earlier thread.
I have been silent for too long!
1. BrymO through his manager Mr. Lanre Lawal collected a sum of two hundred thousand naira (₦200,000) as part payment for
a concert that was to hold on July 6, 2018. 2. The money was at no time designated as non-refundable as at the time it was paid into Mr. Lanre Lawal’s Guaranty Trust Bank Account.
3. That said sum paid into Mr. Lawal’s account was a consortium of sponsorship loans,
Sports Hall’s money, and personal funds of students who volunteered to help bring BrymO to Ife.
4. That BrymO and his team did not honor the agreement and defaulted on the agreement to perform on said date as well as on their promise to pick another date for the postponement.
#SEXFORGRADE OLABISI OLALEYE OF IRS DEPT. OAU AND MOTUNRAYO AFOLAYAN with EVIDENCE
On July 23rd, I received a message from Esther @AirstarBlessing
She was worried about her friend, Motunrayo @motun_special who was a student of international relations, OAU. Olabisi Olaleye, her
lecturer at the dept had told everyone to come to his office to check their results. On getting there, Motun realized she failed. Mr. Olaleye told her he will give her a good grade if she was ready to have sex with him. Motun declined. But Mr. Olaleye had his “perfect plan” - as
the lecturer in charge of examination timetable, he placed the course Motunrayo failed with a course in her 4th year on the same date and the same hour. Motunrayo was sad as that meant an extra year. She went ahead to meet with Olabisi Olaleye to reconsider the timetable. That was
