Scorched Earth is a military term which describes the tactic of burning everything to the ground as an “enemy” approaches. The thing that is utterly mind blowing is that they don’t give a F. who gets hurt/what gets said or whether lie after lie is made up as long as they win.

Of others involved. The scorched-earth strategy centers around destroying any and all resources an opponent may have. This might be possessions, home, water sources, food supply, etc. In the military sense, this isn’t an opponent, it is the enemy.
Make no mistake, when you expose/discard a narcissist they view you as the enemy. They do not end a relationship amicably when discarded, You are a threat to their world, to their survival.
