Clark County Registrar Joe Gloria says when he said that there were 51,000 ballots being processed yesterday to be reported today, that was incorrect. There were actually only a little over 30,000 (the number reported this morning.)
They inadvertently reported the number of page numbers that needed to be counted, not the number of individual ballots. However, the 63,000 number that he gave yesterday (of mail ballots left to be counted) is correct.
Gloria said that the county will now be providing results TWICE a day. He said to expect those results to come out sometime before 4 p.m.
Gloria says he expects the county to start counting the 60,000 provisional ballots it has today, however, it is waiting on instructions from the secretary of state's office to match against voter registration records for the other 16 counties.
Voters that needed to provide ID with their ballot have until 5 p.m. today to do that. The county has said there are about 44,000 ballots that fall into that universe.
As a reminder, there were 63,262 mail ballots that remained to be counted as of yesterday, which the county is still working through. Gloria says that the county received an additional 241 mail ballots this morning from the U.S. mail.
There are also ballots that still need to have their signatures cured. That needs to happen by Nov. 12. As of yesterday, the county had that cohort at 2,100 ballots.
