I would like to see @AndrewYang as the Secretary of Innovation & Technology.

We must leverage technology to improve the quality of life for everyone in the United States. All States, Everyone.

Department of Technology Goals per @AndrewYang:

1. Monitor the development of new technology (AI, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, etc.)

2. More quickly adapt to the changing technological landscape

3. Prevent technological threats to humanity from developing without oversight

Problems to be Solved:

1. Technology is developing faster than government can analyze the impact and enforce regulations

2. Those developing technologies often have no idea what impact they have on humanity

3. Human technical knowledge is quickly reaching the point where there are many existential threats that could develop without us fully understanding said threat

Secretary of Technology would also guide educational path.

The double disruption of automation and pandemic has made it painfully clear: we cannot afford to wait any longer for a reskilling revolution.

Focus areas:

1. Data as a Property Right, and Increased Privacy Protections

2. Minimize health impacts of modern tech on our people, especially our children

3. Stop the spread of disinformation

4. A modern approach to antitrust and regulation requires a 21st century framework

We’ve reached a time in American life when more people are willing to argue about a problem than enact meaningful solutions.
