this is rick wilson, co-founder of the lincoln project
you defending, retweeting or liking the project associated with a conservative islamophobe does NOT make you a leftist. end of discussion
opposing the racist by calling people who oppose racism a "trump cry baby"
i see a lot of ppl saying "the enemy of the enemy is my friend". ok, go ahead and team up with racists. but the fact that democrats are jumping to their defense but wouldn't care about smearing progressives/leftists tells you abt the values of the dem establishment core
also, congrats on giving them millions of followers. i'm sure they'll use their huge platform to fight for policies that benefit the people in the future
got him to finally react, but i don't see any apology, as predicted

i am the first person to say "don't give up", or "never lose hope", but it still needs to be said that class conflict is not child's play, the ruling class and their PR are far more powerful and intricate than we can imagine, we have to be both relentless AND smart
they have access to trillions of funding, while we have crumbs. they can convert the working class to their ideology, and there is not a lot we can do about it, at least it is not easy at all.
while it is true that in the long run, truth and moral principles prevail, it is foolish to think that we'll be able to just wait and "other ppl" will figure stuff out. justice needs to be taken, fought for, suffered for. don't be a passive observer, YOU need to be a part of this

fascism is NOT beaten, the US is only taking a short-term painkiller with a bad taste.

as trump is losing this election, it is important to understand the seeds of fascism, which is neoliberalism. THREAD
it's not wrong to be happy about the defeat of a right-wing maniac, but don't be fooled, the dangers of nationalistic fascism are not over. more importantly, we are seeing a new type of fascism, a "globalized" fascism, which is less overt, more dishonest, adaptive & resilient
the power elites have predominantly coalesced around biden, and for good reasons. first of all, trump was a threat to the free flow of capital: the main concern of capitalists today is that their exploitation is unhindered by protectionist measures.
