#CJs2Cents: Lately, I've been seeing a lot of drama between my friends on here involving the current election and I've been keeping quiet because I don't want to choose any sides but I want to say my peace and hope this could help mend any tensions/hostilities, if at all. 😢

To get the primary thing off of my chest...I'm on no one's side either involving this election or the drama occuring here. I did vote, but ultimately my political opinion stands that it matters not who sits in the big chair of this country because the entire system's fucked, and>

we are only fooling ourselves into believing that our measly votes in these elections to choose who sits in what seats, will make any significant change to the overall system as whole. One side benefits while the other side suffers, it's basically a fucking pendulum! If we>

really want to make an actual change, we need to focus not on the individuals of the system, but the system itself as a whole. Lest we deceive ourselves into believing that "this one individual or small group of individuals will be able to make that change a reality".

Then there's my feelings on Trump himself and his supporters. The man is an absolute scumbag of a human being, who I person feel never should've gotten his position of presidency in the first place. However, I have seen some bring up good arguments of why some may infact support>

him as both a politician and as a president. And no, I don't mean those radical idiots who go around acting like the man is some kind of fucking messiah, I mean those of sound mind. And while I may not agree with their choice in politician, I will respect their alignment.

I personally don't see any problems with us supporting the politicians, as this is our right as both humans and cities of a "free" country. And while I do understand why many would hate Trump supporters because of what Trump has done, I encourage us all to remember something.

The system. Trump, or rather the president as a whole is merely one piece in the machine of this government, with the others being Congress and the Supreme Court. Each constructed in a way to ensure no one of the 3 gains absolute power. So when anything happens in this country->

whether it be for better or worse-is allowed to happen because the machine of the 3 powers-or rather the majority of them-has allowed it or supports it. So while a president may be a problem, they are not the ONLY problem and it's like I said, it's the whole system.

I'm so tired of seeing everyone trading blows back and forth over this, and many others are also getting severely stressed out by it too. So can we all agree to disagree on our political affiliations and start to focus on the whole instead of the parts with this country's issues?
